Although this restaurant is in a prominent spot on the square opposite the museum, there is no compromise on hospitality and quality. The owner is the most charming of men and the food plentiful and delicious. He was extremely helpful helping me choose and adapt dishes suitable for my vegan diet, most notably the ‘porrilla de espinacas y garbanzos’ a sort of spinach and chickpea stew mildly spiced with cumin, which is one of the most delicious things I’ve ever had in my life. There’s a mushroom version too. It’s not a fancy place but locals as well as tourists go, making it authentically Spanish, and I found it clean, friendly and good value for money. My mouth is watering now at the memory...

We ate here twice whilst staying in the area. The food was outstanding on both occasions. Whether eating inside or outside the owner was attentive, friendly and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and enjoyed helping us with our choices of food and drink. Will definitely be returning.

The restaurant is near the tourist office and was perfect for lunch.The paella marisco was as good as it gets and washed down with an excellent rosado set us up for the afternoon.Owner was really friendly and proud of his fare
