Habíamos comido aquí hace unos años una excelente lubina de mar. Pero esta vez la experiencia no ha sido tan agradable. Llegamos a comer hacia la una y media y nos toman nota para las dos menos cuarto, pero no nos trajeron el primer plato hasta más de las dos y veinte. Más de media hora esperando. Después el servicio ya fue más rápido. Uno de nosotros solo quería comer un plato y pidió cocido montañés, qu estaba como primero del menú. No quieres servirle alegando que no dan medios menús, y que no está en la carta. Acaba pidiendo otro plato de la carta. El cocido montañés con alubias blancas estilo pochas, más que fabitas y poco acompañamiento. No malo, pero tampoco para celebralo. La lubina...
A yearly visit as the food is always excellent. This time we ordered a menu for 2. €67) whilst waiting they brought us some home made plate, really good! Included in the menu a great bottle of wine Ribera del Duero) two fantastic starters, smoked ham and morcilla de Burgos a main course of lamb prepared in the oven, deliciously crispy on the outside and tender meat that fell off the bone. Last but not least dessert and coffee. The food was so abundant that it was a lot for two people, but definitely delicious and highly recommended for those who love meat. Fuimos a comer en cuadrilla, y mientras unos comían con los peques, lo otros mirábamos, porque tardaron en sacar los primeros de los menús y unos platos combinados para otros, lo que no está escrito. Ha sido ayer, lunes, víspera de festivo. Vale, éramos 12, pero a parte de nosotros había una mesa de dos, y otra de cuatro en todo el comedor, y tampoco tenían tanto movimiento en barra. La comida no está mala, para nada. Al menos el menú especial, estaba bueno. En cuanto a platos combinados, una amiga pagó 25 euros, por una rodaja de merluza en salsa y un langostino. No sé, me parece exagerado algunos precios. En cuanto a atención, bastante bien, la chica muy agradable.
We had a week in Spain and were quite surprised at how cheap the food and drinks were in Cantabria. But, you don't just want cheap but good food and service. The Abadia was in the old street in Laredo with lots of bars and restaurants. We went for the meal of the day for 15 euros each and got a bottle of white wine throw in. Wasn't too busy as we were early but filled up later on. Overall if you want good value food this is ideal and then if you want to spend more there is an a la carte menu as well. Waiters were quick. Food here was OK, not sure if it was just a slow night but we were virtually the only ones in the restaurant but suppose it was out of season. I had the fish of the Day but you need to order veg either chips or potatoes as the fish alone is not enough if you are hungry. We order deserts and not sure if we just chose badly but they were not good. However I have to say the meal was great value as wine was included.
Comimos de menú del día. Todo exquisito. Recomendamos el cocido montañés. Y las carnes muy tiernas y sabrosas. El camarero un chico muy simpático y atento. Muy contentas. Lo recomendamos. Además está muy bien calidad precio.
Comida muy rica. El solomillo de cerdo mejorable en cantidad (3 filetitos... Camarero amable pero servicio muyyyyy lento. Bastante han tardado en servir el primer plato pero del primero al segundo cerca de una hora entera.
Tomamos los gambones, 12 piezas, estupendos. Y dos tostas supersabrosas. La de bacalao y la de jamón. De postre torrija casera. Todo súper rico. Para repetir cuando vuelva a Laredo. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
