Real blue fresh food. Do not think about it as a Mexican restaurant, but as a taco community (you order chips and salsa from the appetizer menu). This is not a cost-effective regular lunch place that will fill you, but a clean place that offers fresh ingredients and full flavors. With this understanding you can enjoy the distinctive blue maize tortillas and friendly service. I ate with two other frequent travelers and we were all impressed by the flavors and simple presentation. I went with the Cali Catfish Taco and the tuna Taco, but if I lived in the area, I would certainly return to try their Burritos and Quesadillas. The Guacamole was good and I really asked myself about the Veggie fille...
Pretty yummy burritos and margs! 5 stars for food and service. But honestly soooo not worth the high prices. Every time I think about going to Mexicali lately, I can't justify the cost and end up going to Chipotle. : A little lower quality, but I can get two burritos and two orders of chips for the cost of 1 single burrito at Mexicali... Yikes
The food was tasty and the staff were very accommodating to our dietary preferences. They were helpful in guiding us through the menu and our dinner selection.

We had the short rib burrito and the bang bang shrimp burrito. They were both spectacular. Best burritos we've had in a very long time, possibly ever.

The guacamole is fantastic and the vegan burritos are absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are also very generous.
