Friendly service and good free WiFi. Service is friendly but is it slow on a Saturday morning. This type of neighborhood coffee shop should take their inspiration from large coffee shop companies like Starbucks who are able to systemize their process and deliver quickly – you never wait that much as Starbucks! I ordered only one cappuccino and service was so slow that I nearly left before I got my coffee. Milk Cloud is cozy inside but I find it unappealing outside - modern building and big window. It is quite convenient when you ride your bike along the Anniversary trail. You can park your bike in front and keep an eye on your bike while you sip your drink.
This was my second choice on my journey to visit the numerous coffee stops within the Ashburton Village. Situated at the eastern end of High Street near the railway bridge the cafe is located in a modern office block building. With a friend we had coffee & shared a very tasty muffin. Coffee was good & presented hot as ordered. Service was ok at this mid morning weekday. I don't like the lay out of the cafe with an upstairs & downstairs section the latter being small & quite tight for space. Papers available for reading.
It is your typical breakfast place. The coffee is good. The serves a generous; probably too generous. There should be a little more focus on finesse. The BLT sandwich was very large. It would have been better if the bacon was crispier. The corn fritter serving was huge. But they were stodgy. The batter needs to be lighter and the oil hotter.
A local Ashburton cafe that serves up breakfast and lunches of a good quality and quantity. A popular coffee stop for bike riders as the bike path travels alongside the cafe. Seating both outdoors on High st or indoors. During our visit our lunches were served reasonably quickly and enjoyed by all.

Milk cloud is a nice coffee and breakfast spot whether that be something as simple as delicious pancakes to create your own hot chocolate it is the perfect place for breakfast in the Ashburton area. At times however there is limited seating downstairs and not a lot of room to mover around.
Good coffee, HUGE meals, nice atmosphere. I ordered the corn fritters with avocado and it was very nice, but there was no way I could eat it all. Accompanied by a nice spicy tomato relish, this dish would set you up for the day!lovely to sit at the window and watch the world go by.
We discovered Milk Cloud Cafe two days ago and have returned twice. A lovely cafe in Ashburton which we plan return visits to...maybe even today. Fabulous, tasty breakfast and well presented. Superb, attentive staff!!
My husband and I are regular patrons if this coffee shop. Great coffee and food plus its a nice place to sit and read the oaper or use the free wifi while enjoying the well made food and coffee. One of our favorites

Early lunch before football. Quite busy but not full. Orders taken quickly. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Food was very good and serves were bigger than expected. No room for sweets.
Nice local cafe, good food but they are disorganized when busy. Asked twice about my tea & never received it.
