Milky Way Ice Cream Mini Golf

So at the end of the July 4 weekend, I pull into Milky Way on Sunday July 5th to get an ice cream for my two hard working teenagers who have toughed out a long holiday weekend serving vacationers who are not always patient and kind. We arrive at Milky Way at 9:54pm. Granted they close at 10, but it is a walk up soft ice cream business and it takes only minutes to fill a cone with ice cream. The Milky Way is a great throwback type of place that lets you take a step back and enjoy a few of the simple things-ice cream miniature golf. In an area where ice cream shops are close enough that you can buy a cone at one and walk to the next shop for another cone before your first cone melts-the Milky Way really stands out. The mini golf isn't the biggest, latest or greatest. But none of that matters because it truly is fun. Will a group of extra competitive adults enjoy it? Maybe, maybe not. This is, without a doubt, the best ice cream in Cape May. The staff is incredibly friendly and will happily accommodate any requests (like extra sprinkles!). I've never seen a line longer than five people, which is a pleasant change compared to many other places in Cape May, like the Purple House and Dry Dock. They offer a great variety of shakes and sundaes, so you can find just about anything you're craving. Plus, there’s a small golf course in the back. The only downside is that parking can be limited. This is a one stop shop for pretty much everything ice cream, they really have it all. Personal favorites are the gelatis, floats, and huge sundaes. The staff are always very kind and will happily answer any questions you may have about their extensive ice cream menu. It really is the best ice cream around. Added bonus: they have a miniature golf course open during the summer so you can make a fun little trip out of your ice cream run!

Great little ice cream spot with healthy sized scoops, tasty flavors, fast friendly service. Loved the vibe of this place and prices were reasonable. You can also play mini golf here and some of the on-course animals looked cool. Nice picnic area and convenient parking.

Love the old school miniature golf, its perfect for small kids. Workers are friendly but a little slow. They have a great selection of icecream, sundaes, etc. at a good price point. Its tasty and they give you a lot. Parking is very limited.
