We were here Aug 5 for dinner. We walked in and saw the sign "wait to be seated". So we waited and waited and waited. The 3 ladies that were there behind the bar busying themselves made eye contact and then proceeded to ignore us. (that should have been our first indication that this wasn't going to go well and should have walked out then) I said (to no one in particular, really just anyone that wanted to listen), "so are we supposed to just seat ourselves?" Went for lunch and had beer and Cesar salad with chicken.Our server was pleasant but not overly prompt. The restaurant was not busy. No one in the building and two servers addressing five tables. She was great to deal with and the delay was not of great consequence but noticeable. She made a mistake with our beer order bringing a pitcher instead of a pint but was perfect in her response and addressed this error professionally and appropriately. This goes a long way to making a guest feel comfortable and was much appreciated.The salad was adequate. The chicken was obviously pre-cooked and pre-prepared and lay rather limp and indistinct on the salad. No cool looking grill marks or apparent sea...

Lots of places to eat in Elora but I wouldn't put this one on the top of the list. Three of us went, the salad was about average but the "house dressing" was fantastic! The girls had the nachos and there was plenty of cheese on the top however it would have been nice to see more layers. The sides of salsa and sour cream were about a large tablespoon each. The waitress did give us more when prompted. My meal which was the pulled pork dinner was interesting. The pulled pork came in a warm dish on the side? (Never seen that before). We ate at this "bistro" and were very disappointed with the food. We ordered fish and chips which cost $17 and were served an overcooked fried fillet obviously from a frozen package. We did not expect a $17 fish dish to be something that you may get at a fast food place. Hardy "bistro" fare. One of our party could not eat it at all , another could only manage half and because I was starving I did eat it but certainly did not enjoy it. When we complained the server just told the cook and there was no apology. Just no charge for the one person who didnt touch it. Lunch recently Just wanted to say arrived with my Mom for a later lunch approx one ... Just a few tables occupied . Friendly greeting and drinkOrder taken ... 20 min later no beverages yet ... Ordered Cobb salad and given seafood Cobb salad instead .. which was fresh and quite good ! noted lower patio had strewn umbrellas on ground and appeared very unkept and took away from the pretty river view ... also noted step out to deck was loose and overall poor first impression on coming into restaurant ... such a change from previous visit .a few years ago ....

After a nice tour of the town and a small hike above the Grand, my daughter and I were looking for a quiet place to eat great food looking out on the river. A store owner, Cathy, and her helper directed us to Mill St. Bistro. My daughter had the Mac & Cheese which she said is the best she has had and was disappointed when it was finished. I had the Smokehouse Salmon sandwich and it was delicious. The garden salad was perfect for a hot day. It paired well with the Elora Three Fields lager. The service was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back!

This is a good place if you are looking for a table with a view to water. Staff is nice and attentive. The Seafood Cobb salad (including house-smoked salmon) and the soup we had were decent, but nothing special. The remaining selection of pub food (including other house-smoked meats) looks pretty standard for this type of establishment. We find that restaurant prices in Elora are a little high (more reflective of downtown Toronto than small town Ontario), reflecting Elora’s tourist economy.

We like this restaurant for the view of the river flowing behind it sometimes with a swan swimming lazily by. We often get the baked brie as an appetizer which is delicious and finish off with some excellent tarts (raspberry and coconut) from the Belwood Bakery. We like the Bison Burger when in season. We like to sit outside in the summer but the chairs are rather uncomfortable. The inside booths are comfortable.One of our many favourite restaurants in Elora. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

There were no table available when we arrived. We were advised that one would be ready shortly, and it was. The server, was polite, attentive and informative. The food we ordered arrived timeously. It was great. We have been before, and would certainly return. The menu was extensive something for every palate. Would highly recommend, this establishment.

My meal was great... comfort food, Mac & cheese, but the couple next to me were not pleased as everything they wanted to order had been used up already. I think if something is on the menu it should be available.
