Visiting Crewe with my wife we decided to take an early lunch at Miller and Carter. Our choice of restaurant being influenced by an earlier experience at the Telford outlet. Receiving a warm greeting from Reception we were shown to our table by David, who was to be our server throughout the meal. The Fixed Price Menu seemed to meet our needs and we ordered starters of salt and pepper calamari and sticky chipotle chicken. The main course being two 7 oz Rump steaks, one served with a mixed salad and the other with onion loaf, tomato, and seasoned fries. Perhaps I was expecting too much for a steak house to deliver a traditional Christmas Day lunch……. it was dreadful, completely tasteless, sprouts that could break teeth I don’t mean al dente I’m talking rock solid and uncooked) and as much flair and presentation as a cold school dinner. I had to ask for cranberry sauce which was not offered and when it arrived, it was in the tiniest of pots … I’ve seen larger thimbles! The Christmas pudding wasn’t bad but one course out of three is not acceptable. I didn’t complain at the time as it was Christmas Day and I didn’t want to make a bad situation worse and embarrass guests by drawing attention to the dreadful food. Really looking forward to our relaxing boxing day meal . How wrong we were. first of all they had changed the soup ! Then for mains no lamb ! So we had the turkey Xmas Dinner which was awful cold gravy , dog ends crispy dry turkey, Rock hard sprouts and soggy roast potatoes . As for dessert stone cold xmas pudding!!! Absolutely disgusted in miller and carter. Top price money for bottom rate food . Never will I part with my hard earned cash again with these cowboys
Absolutely terrible, who is the chef? Why would you serve iceberg lettuce covered in sauce instead of veg I suppose because it’s easy no cooking involved. Very expensive meal . There’s a silly system of choosing different suggestions which takes ages for them to explain. Now I know why it was dead.

Food cooked to high standard but lack of staff was obvious. There was a lot of sitting and waiting. We waited a while before being able to even order our drinks, something we have never experienced before. Our waitress, Leah, was great, but she was the only waitress to look after several guests.
Our most local food venue and favourite steakhouse. Been several times, last for my hubby's birthday and never had a bad steak yet. Service is good given how busy they get, sure sometimes things slow up but that's normal everywhere you go that's busy
Terrible tasting Seabass, not fresh, overcooked, our friends steak was overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside, cooked from too cold, best thing was the bread. Most dissapointing and overpriced food we’ve had in years. Never again!
Food and Service good- Prices increases have called an end to any future visits. the food is always well prepared but with rib-eye 12 ounce steak now £32.00 time to call it a day and eat else where.
