Hurray for Millers! I've recently moved to Elsternwick and my other half has Italian heritage so this spot is right up our alley. One of my boyfriends favourite cuisines is pizza and he's constantly looking for a better pizza than the last! Both of us are also gluten free so we had the risotto and pizza to share. I had the chicken, spinach sun-dried tomato risotto, it was amazing...Then we had the primavera and prosciutto pizzas. I can highly recommend both! We have only ever had take away from this place (never dined in), but the quality has always been outstanding. Authentically thin crust, olive oil added on top and super zesty flavour. Even the gluten free pizzas are just as good as the wheat ones. <br/ <br/ Having eaten at some of the other pizza joints around Elsternwick, we are dumbfounded at the low rating of this place on Zomato. It’s definitely the best of the three or four pizza restaurants we have ordered from. Can't fault the pizzas here, they are excellent. Ordered the Capricosa and it had a delicious doughy base and the toppings were fresh well portioned. Love to try the in-house experience next time. <br/ <br/ NB: Despite the pizza taking 1hr 45 mins to be delivered on a busy Friday evening (placed order at 640), I have largely put this aside for the 4/5 rating as I feel most places are very busy at this time.
If I can give this place a 10 star I would. The wood oven pizza are amazing and cooked to perfection not greasy or soggy like other places. My kids had the pasta and the kids said OMG no need to go Lygon street when you can come here. The staff are really nice and friendly. I think we have had one too many pizzas from this place: it's really delicious! Crust is good, just perfect amount of topping. Plus my partner is sort of a regular there so service is always good. And I believe not only because we are regulars there. Ps try their prosciutto pizza. You'll thank me later:
This restaurant serves the best pizza in the area. The use of quality and fresh ingredients really sets it apart. The thin base is cooked perfectly in a wood-fired oven. The fresh sliced ham used is a vast improvement compared to the frozen, plastic-tasting ham from Dominos.
The food was good, but unfortunately they do not allow BYO. Such a shame! Why? It's not the same to eat Italian food without wine. Also, please correct the spelling on your menu: it should be "focaccia" not "foccacia," and "amatriciana" not "matrciana." Thank you.
