Milner's was recommended to me, and it was awesome! I noticed several people getting the fried chicken, and my server said it had been a favorite on the menu for 20 years. The chicken was boneless, perfectly seasoned, and extra crispy/crunchy. There was a tomato-based gravy for dipping, or you could also get it on the chicken. The collard greens were also well seasoned and flavorful. Carolina rice also came with this dish. The service was excellent, helping with recommendations and checking in regularly. Went for a date night with my husband to redeem a gift card we received. I had the crab cakes and they were great. My husband ordered his steak medium well. It was closer to medium rare. Wouldn’t have been a problem to send it back for a little more cooking except we never saw our waitress again until she came to the table wanting to know if we wanted to look at the dessert menu. He had also ordered a sweet tea that he never received but was charged for. I didn’t notice that until I had already given the waitress our payment method and been charged. Great dinner spot in Winston Salem! Whether a date night or business dinner this restaurant has impressed each time. Classic fare like great steak and some unique Southern items like fried green tomatoes, shrimp grits, pot roast or a hearty meatloaf, but also tasty crab cakes and vegetarian items are available see the rice and veggies entree pictured. The NY cheesecake and chocolate torte were so good they did not last long enough to picture! Staff was professional and overall atmosphere seemed very private even though it was busy each time visited. Convenient off S Stratford Rd and plenty of parking.
Certified shmackin food! I tried an appetizer, main course and desert from Milner's and everything was DE-EFFIN-LICIOUS! From the pimento cheese that rivals the best I've had at Biltmore estates to the Roast and blackened veggies that were seasoned to perfection. Expensive and not worth it to me! 70’s rock was played in the restaurant over the restaurant sound system. I like 70’s rock but it seemed odd in this type of restaurant. The food was not even mediocre. Service was excellent but we won’t go back.

Anytime my parents come to town, we make sure to visit. The food tastes so familiar but elevated and Ive never had a bad meal. The she crab soup is out of this world
