I have stopped several times over the years because of its super favorable location when you wander in the area of Basking Ridge or Jockey Hollow, this is not far away at all and is just a minute or two of 287. I came by to pick up a few minutes on the street this Sunday afternoon after a dark, muddy hike in Lord Stirling Park. Your weekend hours are as comfortable as the location they open at noon, when is the last time you have a 10AM BBQ Hankering? and close to 8PM, perfect for a post hike meal. Very good, but expensive. They ran out of Pommes, so I had the homemade potato chips and they were great. Our waitress always forgot to come to our table and I had to stand up to ask about our beer, napkins, our appetizers, etc. The tables were very sticky and the stands very small, really only good to fit a person on each side. My husband and son were constantly hitting elbows while I tried to eat. Your food is served in flimsy cardboard containers. For the money we spent, I'd like to have a record so that if I cut my food, I didn't chop a cardboard into my food. Overall, I can say the food was very good, but the service is bad.
We ordered a single small part of the brisket and the only small part of the ribs and a Seltzer and an icy tea and a sequence of the frits. I must say the food was really good and the atmosphere was funny and casual. The service was also good. But expensive is an understatement! The bill was $80.
The ribs were extremely delicate and tasteful. The sauce I got was the mild one. Sweet and not sharp. Wife has the bbq wing and said she would get it back. Dinner for 2 drinks. $70 plus top. No bad price
