Myself, my husband and our two friends were visiting Dortmund for the weekend. We came to this place at approximately 4.30pm on Saturday 30th June. We all ordered drinks and sat down to look at the menus. We approached the bar to order our food at 4.45 and were told to sit down and someone would come and take our order. We sat there for a further 30 minutes and were completely ignored. Every person who walked past us avoided eye contact and when we even said excuse me they looked away. We were made to feel very unwelcome, and some of the staff were giving us dirty looks when we originally ordered our drinks. We found this bar 2 years ago, when we first visited Dortmund, and had a great night even tho' they had not been open for long. This year, Christopher and Kevin and come a long way since then. The food menu,was excellent, with bigger, better, choices and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and welcoming, with many speaking English, and a big shout out to Sophie who looked after us all evening and was really patient with us, especially with out lack of German and did a lot of translating for us. Overall, this was a great place to visit and cannot recommend it enough and when we return to Dortmund we will be back.
Went here Wednesday night to watch Champions league before Thursday Dortmund match and had great Schnitzel and a phenomenal waitress. The interior had great decor with our favorite soccer players’ jerseys. The following day we came back before the match and sat at the bar. Christoph was bar tending and was very inviting and helpful to anything we asked. Reasonably priced beer and food with great atmosphere all around. We only stayed in Dortmund for two nights and went here for both days and were very pleased. Can’t wait to return again!!
Wir machten einen Abendspaziergang von unserem Aufenthalt im Ringhotel Drees zum Dortmunder Stadtzentrum und zurück und bemerkten diesen Ort zufällig. Was uns anzog, waren all die BVB-Schilder und Dekorationen sowie eine entspannte Atmosphäre. Tolle Atmosphäre und sehr guter Service. Die Kellnerin war nett und freundlich und sprach gut Englisch. Leider kamen wir zu spät an, um auch Abendessen bestellen zu können, aber da es uns so gut gefiel, blieben wir für Getränke.
