I've started visiting during Covid and continue visiting Miti Miti and always an amazing experience. This is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the friendly and attentive service. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure that I had a fantastic experience. Update Went back and for some reason they decided to cover my birria tacos with guacamole. When I complained and asked to have remade, the waiter argued with me for several minutes that it was not guacamole, it just looked like it. I told him either way, I don't want it, so please fix it. It took forever to get my food and by that time everyone else at the table was done eating. Also, the grilled chicken was very dry. This place has some great flavours in their food. But they seem to overwhelm every dish with huge quantities of meat. I would have enjoyed the tacos more if there was right amount of meat, same with the Pollo Arroz. The fish taco was excellent and would come back again and again for it. Vegetarians you will definitely enjoy the veggie empanada. The service seems to be way off its track. I don’t mind extra items, but I wonder how they are doing financially. Went here on a recommendation of a coworker and man were we not disappointed. I had the Birria Taco platter, while my boyfriend had the chicken tacos. Everything was very flavorful with just a perfect amount of spice. We also shared their Miti Miti nachos which were to die for. We were shocked to learn they don’t serve alcohol (they are BYOB) but honestly the food speaks for itself so we didn’t even miss not having the alcohol. Service was a bit slow but it was pretty busy for a Monday night and our server had about 6 other tables, so we were okay with waiting longer for things. We will absolutely be back! The food was decent until recently . I ordered a fish taco and the first one was cold .The server in the back let me know that condiments are cold and the “ fish “ is hot . I took it back for a fresh one and this is how it came . Also the pale woman cashier in the front should take a customer service class on how to properly address customers, her service all around would be much better minus the obvious passive aggression and negative attitude. There’s better Tex mex local spots nearby.
I hosted a surprise birthday party for 25 people here in the outdoor covered and heated space. The manager worked with me to offer a broad menu at a reasonable cost. The food was incredible! The staff was outstanding. The space was absolutely perfect. The service was phenomenal! The restaurant is steps from the South Orange train station, very convenient for NYC guests. Highly recommend.
Food was amazing and the service was quick and friendly! We ordered the crispy fish taco, the jerky chicken taco and beef empanadas. It was all so yummy!! We’ll definitely come back!
