Heard great things about this restaurant from word and mouth and reviews. Went in for a Sunday lunch and the place was packed. Took about 20-30 min to get seated for two. I ordered a combo plate of Chile relleno, enchilada and beef taco. About 20 minafter we ordered the waiter tells us they ran out of rellenos. Not a big deal, I replaced it with a chicken taco. Another 20minutes later we received our meal (it was busy I get it). First bite was into the beef taco, my thought was not much taste inthe beef. So I added some hot sauce but it just didn't help. Seemed like it wasn't seasoned at all. Next I tried the cheeseenchilada, and as I took my first bite I found myself having to chew and chew...
If you're in San Bernardino and in the mood for some delicious Mexican food, this is the place to be. My family and I have always enjoyed coming to Mitla Cafe for many years. The atmosphere of this restaurant is historic and is well known due to beinga Route 66 Attraction. The food is hot and fresh, staff is friendly and professional, and you'll be leaving the establishmentwith a full satisfied stomach. I highly recommend getting the taco plate with a side of beans and rice and pair it with thegolden lager Whistling Saint brewed by Modern Times Beer. It's the perfect combination. Went on Sunday afternoon. the staff was friendly and prompt. I ordered a combination plate with a side taquito and mango margarita.. I throughly enjoyed my meal. I tried topping it off with a churro for dessert but it tasted off, so I knocked onestar off. my server went to the kitchen as he mentioned I wasn't the first client who said a similar thing about the churros.but to no avail and they didn't credit for the bad tasting churros (no I didn't finish it) but they looked pretty.
my family has been here for generations. this place is just perfect. they are well rounded, all they do is delicious. they have the best Mexican food in California. they really feel like home here. I came here since I was a child and it was always the right place to eat. I feel confident when I bring someone back here, they will love it. this place never disappointed me. I'd give 10 stars if I could. The original crispy beef tacos brought me back home to mom's kitchen. The chiles rellenos to grandma's. The staff was wonderful. Friendly and smiling faces. I felt like a guest in their home. If you haven't visited theonly question is why?
Great customer service ???? chips and salsa was delicious. Everything we ordered was on point it was delicious no complaints. Prices are great, they serve great portions. I definitely recommend this place to anyone, its a must try.
There Manudo Delicious, the only gown fall is it's a long wait to get in then for someone to show up and take your order then after that you still have to wait a while for your food
