We stopped by Toby Carvery, the Moby Dick on Whale Bone Lane, for lunch. It was a bit early, but we were hungry and were seated quickly with hardly any queue. There were five meat options to choose from and the portions were generous. The vegetables were plentiful and everything was served hot. Sylvia, who was in charge of the food, ensured that everything was topped up and well presented. The atmosphere was cheerful and made for an enjoyable lunch. The restaurant began to get busier as we finished our meal. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
Took my 86 year old mum here for her birthday. The most important thing for me that day was she felt that she was looked after, and she certainly was; several of the staff team either helped her to her seat, helped her with her plate, and helped her back again. Really caring team and we were well served at our table by Elvita. Our carver was Sylwia who gave good portions and friendly service. Looks good after its refurbishment, we'll be back.
Not really impressed. Poor to non existent service and lukewarm food. The floor was covered with food which hadn’t been cleaned up. Can’t see why this was the case as restaurant was 2/3rds empty. Manager great and older guy on serving bench totally understood the seriousness of food allergies. The young guy on the serving bench was nonchalant and didn’t really seem to “get it.” I’m still alive tho without a hospital visit!
although the staff was nice and friendly, the place was much too busy, booked for and was asked to get a drink and wait in the bar, there was no tables to sit and wait available to sit half and hour later to dinner and when we arrived at the theke the queue was far too long to dinner, a person who served the meat that took age, even if the meat and the good thing was going back
A complete all round great experience! A big thank you to the chef Mo the food was great, the carver Sylvia and the server Dee.I cannot give a higher review! We will be coming again!
Miam miam, this meal was very delicious, so delicious in fact I cried a little. If I had the money I would go again; alas I cannot fund another endeavor to this fine establishment
Amazing service by Tammy. The manager Sharon was very welcoming upon our arrival and the Chef Sylwias hash is the best part of this amazing breakfast. Will definitely be back.
