Moderato… Great place for Italian food in Doral! I had the chance to eat there a couple of times and both times were great. I rarely go out of my house to have pasta; I think I can make a very decent pasta dish myself at home. However, at Moderato you are going to find an extensive menu with great dishes to share. The portions are generous and well presented. The restaurant is well kept, and the service is outstanding. Last night we had the pleasure of meeting Daniela who took care of our orders, she did a fantastic job of explaining the dishes and was quick to make sure we had everything we always needed. There is plenty of free parking and the prices are fine.

I’m sure most of their food is great but I don’t recommend coming here on a work schedule. The pasta took my whole lunch break to make and the taste and quality was disappointing. Not bad just not impressive enough for a $50-60 bill.I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, a side salad, and a coke. $30? Sure. $50? Overpriced but then again it’s Miami…The waitress was very kind and attentive. She tried her best! Again, maybe just the wrong timeframe. I’ll try again.
It is supposed to be a very good Italian restaurant, but the pizza sauce is watered down and you can’t taste it.I was offered by the waitress very nice attitude one of their specialty dishes which is the Contadina di Manzo, Pasta served in a bread, the meat had a very disgusting flavor and could have been undercooked.Also, the person eating with me ordered the gnocchi and the plate had 13 gnocchi.I would not recommend it for people that have eaten real Italian food.

I’m so happy I came here for Friday date night! I’ve been coming to Moderato for 3 years now, but tonight I was served by Paula, Carla, and Mayra. Their attitude and attentiveness was just as great as the food. They constantly came to check if we needed anything and were very detailed in explaining the menu dishes. Great service, great location, great food, super nice girlies!
This is a wonderful restaurant. The service is top-notch, the food is delicious with an authentic Italian flavor. We left feeling very satisfied with our dining experience. My only issue is that they add an 18% "service charge" to the bill, which seems to be mandatory rather than optional. I would have preferred to have the choice to decide on the tip amount myself.
I was a bit confused by our waitress, but overall it wasn't too bad. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, with a gourmet feel, although it did remind me more of a 5-star cafeteria. I would rate it 2 stars as a restaurant. I ended up paying around $25 for a pound of pasta, which wasn't the best value after a long day of work.
We made a reservation through Open Table for December 31st. When we arrived at 8:15 PM, the restaurant was closed. We tried to call but there was no answer. Very disappointed since we trusted Open Table to have restaurants' offers up to date!!!! Beware!!!!

little confused our waitress, but don't look bad overall. Beautiful environment, like a gourmet, looks like a 5 star cafeteria anyway. 2 stars as restaurant.!!! Paid by 25 for a pound of pasta.. this does not work well after the whole day....
