We are frequent patrons of the Mogul and we are consistently impressed by the high standards that are maintained year after year. Throughout the extended lockdown, our family has ordered multiple takeout meals and the dishes continue to exceed our expectations. The food is always fresh, hot, flavorful, and generously portioned, making it excellent value for money, especially with the cash discount offered. Our current favorite dishes are the Garlic Chilli Lamb Masala (which can be made milder upon request), the Special Tandoori Chicken Bhuna with tender bone-in meat, and the Tandoori Chicken Masala. Raj and the staff are attentive and ensure effective social distancing measures are in place....
Visited again after they have been closed due to Covid-19 and the lockdown.The restaurant was really well set up, with gaps between all of the tables, hand sanitiser and customer guidance available, and the staff all wearing masks and gloves etc.Food was as amazing as always (I have missed it soo much! and the service was it’s usual efficient self.If you have never eaten here before, or you’re a regular who’s not sure on whether to return based on the current climate, then just do it.Can’t fault the place in any way
I got a takeaway once. Now they will not stop texting me despite a text, a written message and then a telephone conversation in which they assured me they would stop. I cannot I get rid of these invasive wnkers who won’t stop spamming me despite previous, polite requests. I never asked to be on a list and was never told I’d be added to one but to blatantly ignore express requests to delete my info is an abuse of customer’s personal information and they really don’t care.
Booked a table for 20:00 this evening for 6 people. Arrived and no one decided to tell us that the table was being used by a previous booking who had turned up late. Left for 20 minutes standing at the front of the restaurant. As no one decided to speak to us and apologise for the lack of table and no possibility of a future table we left the restaurant and attended a local restaurant. Incredibly disappointed by the service and will not be returning.
I ordered from Uber Eats and was disappointed with the curries, which were oily and lacked flavor. The onion bhajis were dry and unappetizing, resembling flat pancakes. Unfortunately, there was no raita available. On a positive note, the garlic naan was delicious and the mushroom rice was tasty. After reading some positive reviews and seeing the high prices, I made a regrettable decision.
Online order. The restaurant called me when I was 5 mins late to tell me it was ready, which was a nice touch. I arrived and they were serving from the door, food was handed over immediately. Nice onion bhaji and kebab starters. Garlic chili chicken was excellent. A great meal and service was excellent, especially in the COVID times
Great curries and a nice atmosphere on a Friday night. The specials menu had some unusual dishes which we really enjoyed. The staff were friendly and the menu good value for money. Book on a Friday night.
Takeaways from the Mogul certainly helped us get through lock down . Thank you to Ali and the team for continuing to serve up Dhansaks to die for !
Food was excellent, as was the service and cleanliness. Not been in years, won’t been year before my next visit, it will be next week.
