Molasses Grill is by far the best restaurant for miles and miles. The food is always spectacular and the service is great. I have been several times and am never disappointed. The calamari as a starter is a family favorite, but I also really like the fall brussel sprouts and summer tomato salad. The entrees are seasonal, fresh, unique and thoughtfully plated. They also have a nice selection of cocktails and desserts.
One of the most exquisite and most delicious restaurants! So many delicious and beautifully prepared dishes! Truly talented Chef and recipes. Hidden gem! We have been in attendance for years and now almost wish I had not shared with so many where to dine as we come from over an hour and a half one way each time and always need reservations now. So worth it every time . Well done!
Wonderful restaurant in a quaint town...a real hidden gem in South Virginia. We went with another couple and here's what we ordered; Halibut (delicious), rib eye steak (melts in your mouth), crab cakes (very tasty) and the bourbon chicken (tender flavorful). Of course their desserts were marvellous! The wait-staff was very attentive and we'll be back again.
Best local dining, no question. Love the atmosphere and the quality of their oysters is surprising. Except for their special events, their pricing is even quite reasonable!
One word. CALAMARI. I went with family a year ago and still dream about the calamari. Everything was wonderful but that specific appetizer really takes the cake.
