I typically don't write reviews, but due to the manager not owning my issue and not picking up the phone I'm beyond disappointed with how he handles the customer satisfaction. My friend and I selected Molto Vino to enjoy our Sunday afternoon off from work. Overall the cheese platter and wine was good, but the grilled chicken had a funky scent. The main reason for my complaint is that I left a cash tip for the waitress and used my credit card to split the bill even with my friend. My friend left a tip on her card, as I crossed out the tip and wrote cash. The waitress accepted my cash tip and in error tan my friends tip on my credit card. I called the owner as he said he would look into it and...
0 stars if possible. I went there last Saturday with 4 of my friends, and waited over 2 hours for our food. Two of our friends had a party to get to and didn't expect our dinning experience to be 3 hours long, they had to leave before receiving any food because of how late this made them. When our food finally did arrive the baked clams were ice cold, the pasta was hard as a rock due to being undercooked, etc. You'd think after 2 people having to get up and leave from our party without eating, the manager would comp a drink or something. Our waiter was very sweet and apologetic but management really should have stepped in and provided us with anything. Will definitely never go back here due...
The restaurant was severely understaffed, resulting in a disappointing dining experience. It took two hours just to receive utensils, and we constantly had to search for a server to get water or place drink orders. Despite being a Saturday evening, there was only one bartender and one waiter for the entire restaurant. The owners/management should be ashamed for allowing this to happen. The owner should have stepped in to help if they couldn't staff properly. When we ordered a panini to share among our group, we were only brought half of it. The waiter tried to fix the mistake by bringing out a "fresh" panini that tasted like it had just been taken out of the fridge and barely warmed up.
extremelyyyy hot. it's July in new york and i get they want the open doors but it's a swamp in there. also a wine bar but only really about 10 wines on the menu was not making much sense. menu was like a soggy paper. inside was decent set up as far as furnishings i guess, bar was kinda cool. music was great and different. the glasses were large which was nice. we had one left because it was like 85 and humid in the whole place. two servers also bartending, serving, hosting somehow. The poor staff. about 20 people in there drinking and they're struggling to run around and you could see they weren't happy. i don't blame them
Went last night. Watermelon martini on special drink menu) tasted like water with watermelon purée. Waitress although v nice needed to be reminded 3x to bring us water. Brought out 1 app when we ordered 2 when reminded of this gave us wrong one which they did comp) food was fair but margarita pizza we got looked like a frozen Celeste pizza with a sprig of basil thrown on top. Heard they were much better than this. Not impressed at all. Won't be returning. Don't waste your money.
After seeing the last review I now realize this man is a scam artist! I wasn 't going to leave a review either, but i had split the bill w 6 girlfriends a couple months back, left a 20% cash tip and then they went ahead and added another 20% tip on my card!! I am a server myself, and wrote CASH on the tip line, and left the on top. I feel so sorry for all the others this must 've happened to : I was considering coming back tonight to use my 'credit ' but not to be scammed again!
We have been coming to Molto Vino for a few years now. There's a great selection of wine and Davide makes the best Negroni I've ever had. Friendly faces, attentive service, and a warm, relaxed environment. You don't feel rushed to finish your meal or your drink. Sometimes there's also live music. A nice place for a chill date night. There are also special events occasionally. Pizza is good too! As close to an authentic Neopolitan-style pie that you can get locally. Recommended :
Last night, Molto Vino was our final stop on a fantastic Friday night out. We started with dinner at Henley's Village Tavern, then headed to Lions Den for 80's night before finishing the night with a glass of Pinot Grigio at Molto Vino. Babylon Village was peaceful and quiet as we arrived around 11:30pm, with only about 8 people at the bar. Despite the late hour and the lack of many people out, we savored our wine and decided to call it a night.
Amazing food with high quality ingredients. Great selection of wine and even better cheese and meats to pair it with. We always get the Margherita pizza and it never disappoints.
