It honestly pains me to write this review because I/we love their Madisonville location always a 5 star experience.We came here for Mother's Day and their 4 year anniversary. It was our first time at this location, but we decided to make the drive and give it a try due to the special menu we live closer to the Madisonville location.I feel like people were just as friendly and the service just as good. The food was below their standard at the other location and I thought the portion/cost for the menu was sub par.The porchetta was dry, the exterior was not crunchy like porchetta should be but leathery, and it was not filling it did have decent flavor. I recently relocated to Camp Washington, and this has become my go-to coffee shop. The ambiance is fantastic, especially the patio, and the staff is truly exceptional. However, I should mention that this isn’t exactly a neighborhood coffee shop; the steep prices on the menu don’t align with what many locals need or want. It’s more of a destination coffee shop that draws in people willing to pay for an $11 avocado toast or a $6 latte. That said, this place has attracted a lot of visitors and energy to Camp Washington, though I wish it catered more to the residents who already live here.
I love this place! They have a lot of great options besides coffee and wine, like breakfast sandwiches, baked toasted breads, cocktails beer, and an excellent selection of tinned fish and other seafood. I highly recommend Mom's Secret Milkshake (for adults only), Smoked Mackerel, Almond Butter Banana Toastie, and Franklins Coconut Cold Brew maybe not all in one sitting tho. Also, if you join their coffee and or wine club they will deliver nationwide (with optional pickup extra in house perks for the latter).
I'm from out of state and thought I would try this out. I'm a very picky eater and this was AMAZING. I scarfed down my avocado toast and honestly could say I'd go back for seconds if this wasnt so filling. The coffee was done exceptionally, I loved it.Vegetarian options: Avocado toast! We always look forward to visiting friends in Cincinnati because it means we can enjoy breakfast and coffee at Mom 'n 'em. It's a fantastic place with exceptional coffee and delicious breakfast options. The avocado toast and Gibraltar (Cortado) were standout choices. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. We love this spot! Great job, Mom 'n 'em team! Food rating: 5/5.
Stopped for coffee, cookie and croissant. Coffee was good as was the treats. The service was ok.It was a bit disappointing that there were so few tables the could seat four and all those were taken by singles. We made a tiny table work and enjoyed the time we spent there.It would be better to come here during warm weather as they have an awesome patio space.
Inside, the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The menu was intriguing, offering some unique options. The staff were relaxed and friendly, and we enjoyed some playful banter with the barista. It is definitely on the pricier side, but it seems worth it for the ambiance, generous space, and the quality of the food and drinks.
I loved the decor and vibe of this place! Food was great and well seasoned and my drink had me lit . Staff was super friendly someone walked me to the restroom rather than pointing to it and they open our door as we left. Shout out to Emilee our server she was so sweet and very helpful.
