We tried to get a reservation one night but was full, so went back with a res on Sunday. Glad we did, This resto gets great reviews and they are deserves. Our waiter, who turns out to be the son of the owner/chef-was a delight. Good sense of humor and curious about his guests origins. It was not too busy so he had lots of time to chat with clients, but never forgot his primary responsibility. I had grilled Tuna, Carmen had the rabbit, both very delicious. Thanks to the reviews my bf and I decided to have dinner there during our last night in Lisbon and it really paid off! In spite of the location (which is really simple, a little bit cold and has a off-key/low-budget vibe that makes you misjudge the place the restaurant is actually great! The food is fresh and very well cooked, the waiter is kind and the price's low (a dish of fresh grilled fish with vegetables 13 €! I definitely recommend it, it's really worth it!
It’s not often you visit a restaurant that’s honestly 10/10. This place is a MUST visit if you’re in Lisbon. The owner is lovely and recommended a great (but not expensive) bottle of wine when we arrived. We ordered the chef’s selection for starter (seven incredible dishes), followed by the duck fricassee and Portuguese steak. Everything was delicious. Finally we finished off with the best chocolate mousse we’ve ever tasted. All for €70. Cannot recommend enough!!
All reviews praise this restaurant, so I just wanted to add that if you get the imperession that its friendly and relaxed and in a great BA location, that's all true. But it needs to be emphasised that its also got super professional service (free glass of Portuguese Fizz! and great and interesting food, with original funny descriptions of them all. We had an absolutely stellar meal here on our last night in Lisbon and only wish we had discovered it earlier! Each dish was wonderful and they were easily able to accommodate celiacs with plenty of gluten free dishes (note that the fryer is shared with gluten items so celiacs can't have anything fried). Highly recommended and make sure to reserve a table ahead of time!
