Mommas Fish & Chips

I assume owners Mom taking orders.....took about 5 tries to get it right....Food delivered, poutine was just reg chips, not poutine.Advised, corrected.2 halibut and chips.....chicken fingers and poutine.The halibut (if that's actually what it was) was about 3/16" thick and the rest was rock hard batter......you had a HARD time stabbing this fish with your fork.They say the fries are hand cut each day..........they may be......although they looked small for homecuts.....as they are usually 3/8".....They didn't taste like frozen......but didn't look like home.........HmmmmThe Mom?....asked me how everything was, I told her.....she relayed this info to daughter???They just said "OH, that's the...

Portion size is very generous (similar to Mel's Fish & Chips in Woodstock, ON), you won't be wanting a snack two hours after eating here. Food is great, service very good, menu selections quite good, importantly the chips are fresh cut not frozen like Westside in Huntsville (34km to the north). Please note this chippy used to be in the Wellington Plaza at the bottom of the hill behind Timmys.

Were it not for the food I would hesitate about going back.An old cliche' says the exterior says a lot about the interior.The exterior is in big need od a good clean.Put some flowers outside.Upon entry is an empty fish pond that is so ugly.It has been replaced by a huge filthy fish tank.The interior is in need of decorating.

They have been running specials of the day different fish different days, small order 1 piece of fish lots of French fries and a bowl of coleslaw for $6.99 or $7.99 I think and Tuesday is seniors with 10% off bill Have been many times and always good Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

My wife and I and another couple went to Momma's after golf one evening. We all had halibut & chips (one was gluten free). The batter on the fish was perfect. Lots of delicious in-house cut chips made for a perfect meal.

We had a lovely dinner here with children. Very friendly friendly. Our daughter accidentally spilled her chocolate milk and they immediately offered her a free new one. Wonderful gluten fish and chips. Friendly staff!

there were flies flying in the restaurant around our table, staff hung around our table talking as we were trying to eat, did not like there food. would not go back Margaret & Pat

Great food and service. Reasonale prices. REALLY needs decorating but I am sure this will be done once they are able. Very accommodating staff and you feel very much at home. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

good portions and friendly family restaurant, lots to choose from on the menu with kids menu as well and full bar license
