Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. Having just returned from Normandy, my memories of authentic French cuisine are still vivid, and this place did not come close. Aside from the names on the menu, there was little resemblance to traditional French cooking. The soup was overwhelmingly thick with flour and heavy cream, and there were bits of shrimp shell in it. The duck breast was slathered in cherry jam, which didn't work well, and the halibut was overly soft and lacked the distinct flavor of halibut. On a positive note, the waitress was very pleasant and kind.
Lovely brunch, food was fantastic; I had a chicken crepe with mushroom gravy and a bowl of basil tomatoe soup my partner had the Croque Monsieur with a side salad. Both meals were excellant. Service to put it mildly, was very poor. We got our French press coffee order and then we're completely forgotten or left alone about for 35 minutes, too many customers, not enough staff!
Food was good but we waited 50 minutes after coffee for food to come. No coffee refresh or bread or anything in the interim and we were hangry by the time the food came. No one communicated with us so we sat there wondering if the ticket was lost or something. We will try again another day.
The large family group celebrating a baby's first birthday with balloons and children's entertainment was not ideal for a Saturday evening. The Prosecco wasn't placed in an ice bucket until we requested it. While the food was good and well-prepared, the ambiance was lacking.
Had the scallop risotta. My son had the duck. Both were excellent and beautifully presented. So was the salmon tartine and creme brule. My husband was disappointed in the coq au vin; ok both not great. Small portions of wine were disappointing. Definitelly would go back.
We recently discovered this restaurant and have gone three times now with different groups of people. The ambience and decor are wonderful and each dish we have ordered has been delicious, flavorful and cooked to perfection!!
This was the ideal place for our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was quiet and romantic, making it a perfect setting. Everything was fantastic, and the staff was both friendly and professional.
Perfect Cappuccino the Parisian Eggs Benedict are so phenomenal! You will not be disappointed by the food here and the quality and service are both excellent!
Really nice hidden gem in downtown Buffalo. Joey our server, was outstanding very personable, attentive, and knowledgable as well!
