OK, so it was a hot Saturday evening, we’d only just rocked up in town at midday and hadn’t booked anywhere for dinner (big mistake). As we wondered through Troyes’ extensive medieval centre during the afternoon, as well as admiring the town’s many beautiful timbered buildings, we were also eyeing up restaurants’ menus and short-listing where we might eat though, stupidly, not booking. So, at 7pm when we strolled into the centre to eat, we were increasingly shocked that every single one of our short-listed options was fully booked. First time in Troyes, came across this restaurant. The staff were nice and helpful. We had gravlax to start which was very nice. For Mains we ordered the steak. Asked them to be be cooked medium rear. When it arrived, it was cooked until it was cremated and Crisp!!! So tuff and not edible. Must have been the worst steak we ever had. The roasted vegetable salad with leaves had clearly come out of the fridge and was too cold to eat. Our bill was nearly 100 euros for which I have to say was the most dissatisfied meal.
nice scenery, rustic atmosphere. choice of original dishes. but a little disappointed because what is missing is the presentation of the menu on a slate because you are obliged to ask the waitress again. well presented dishes except that the tendon was a little too fat and my mother could not eat his. It was good. what missed is the small commercial gesture since it was my birthday and that nothing was done at all while we pointed out for example the coffee offered. welcome.
Had a lovely evening meal here, we were very glad we’d booked here and not in the main square as it was peaceful. Our food was really good, wine was excellent and the service was great as well. We sat outside as it was so warm but the interior looked nice too. We would recommend this restaurant if you want something slightly off the beaten track but still with a great atmosphere

a troyes it is not the restaurants that miss and well that it is a nice discovery especially the noon on the terrace because for flat entrance and dessert in the evening for the same thing), home cooking, service in the top and interior decor is very nice too, so wait no longer go.
We had great menu. With fish as a starter. Porc as a main corse and a special prepaired fig as a desert. Allvery tasteful and original. Good price. And away from the crowds. And a nice waiter.
