Just stopped in on our way back to Ontario for lunch. What an absolutely charming establishment! We ate lunch on the terasse (patio), and started off with two **** Caesar’s which were well made. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was delicious (big fat shrimp and homemade cocktail sauce) as was the tomato bocconcini salad. I ordered the fish chips for a main and my husband ordered the butterfly shrimp plate. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The batter on my fish was the best I’ve ever had, so light with the perfect crispness, with homemade tartar sauce and the fries are definitely cut in-house too. Our new favorite local pub! We recently moved to St-Lazare and have already visited Mon Village four times! The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The pub has a beautiful back garden, which is perfect for enjoying a meal outside. It’s also a great place for our two toddlers and one-year-old, as it’s very family-friendly. We're thrilled that it's just five minutes from our home! Plus, the menu is extensive, so there’s always something new to try, and everything we've had has been incredible!
We live just about 15 minutes away, yet we only manage to visit this restaurant once or twice a year, which is a pity because it's truly fantastic. We usually dine in the pub area, where the food is consistently excellent, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is lovely. The prices are reasonable, and they offer a large and varied wine list. I highly recommend this place!
This place is a gem! I frequented this place when I lived here 15 years ago, and it was a must stop for my buddy and I this round as well! All the plates are superb, and the atmosphere is amazing. The building itself is a beautiful rustic setting, and the staff are keen to serve in both official languages! Hands down a must-see and eat place in my books! Thanks for the great service folks! Always loved this place. Didn't give 5 stars for food because vegetables were barely cooked. Don't mind some crunch but these were almost uncooked. Also the sweet potato mash was deceiving. I chose this because I did not want white baked potato but the sweet mash had added white potato which totally changes the texture.
Spectacular restaurant in a cozy setting. The cheese garlic bread is spectacular, as is all the food for that matter. I don't know how they do it, but everything is bursting with flavor. If you've never been, GO. You will love it. The menu is huge so if you can't find something that's on you.
Excellent food. Fantastic service. Wonderful atmosphere. Historic building near Hudson, right off the 417 highway. Very nice.
