I was excited to try the Panang curry after reading all the positive reviews, but I found it to be overly rich with coconut cream. The side dish also contained a lot of coconut cream and ended up being quite soggy. On the positive side, the Tom Yum with mushrooms and the stir-fried oriental vegetables were served generously and very well. My partner and I couldn't finish all three courses due to the large portions. The restaurant was bustling, and while the waitstaff appeared to be quite young, a Thai woman who I believe is the owner made sure everything ran smoothly and that all guests were taken care of. I’ve ordered take away from Monkey Punch Thai a few times now, specifically asking for my panang curry to be vegan, with extra veges. It’s most likely vegan anyway but I like to make sure! The restaurant notes “vegan” on my take away container each time. It’s very tasty and fresh with delicious vegetables, can also order with tofu and veg but I prefer all the delicious veg!
My partner and I were so full after lunch today! We had the delicious rich noodles and cashew nut vegetable noodles, and oh my, they were flavorful, hot, and generously packed with sweetness and tofu. Simply put, they were quite generous overall. We definitely plan to return to Noosa before we leave!
the taste of this thai was amazing. they have a dedicated vegetarian section that can all be made vegan. I had the green power iron fry that was amazing and we shared the ananas fried rice that was served in half ananas! would go back here definitiw. so friendly and fast.
Monkey punch is my go to for vegan take out. I love that they have plenty of vegan and gluten free options just be sure to request them . The Penang curry with steamed rice is my favourite, their stir fries, curries and salt and pepper tofu are also really tasty!
