the restaurant has been re-donated since my visit last year. you're paying for your entry. a little expensive in the evenings 21€, but only 3.90 euro for children under 1m 20 in the height. There is now a playground for children with climbing stands,...ball park, etc. in the room at the back where the family can eat near their children. the a-much-as-you-can-eat buffet has a large selection and the buffet attracts local and tourist who come because it is close to the channel tunnel. children are welcome and it is easy to find food they enjoy. for young children I find it excellent price for money a much more balanced meal than a happy meal in the maccies all over the street to an example. th...
We were visiting relatives in Hastings and thought we'd have a day in France. Trust the weather!! All the other days of our break were sunny but our day in France was wet. So instead of driving down to Boulogne we went to Cite Europe....On driving into the shopping area, we saw a load of gendarmes going into this restaurant and so we thought If it's good enough for them, it must be alright for us And it was. Monsieur Wok is an Asian buffet restaurant which serves salad, sushi and Chinese starters. Nice setting to eat, the night we visited, it was not to busy, one member of staff on the floor serving drinks one behind the counter cooking with hot plate and wok, and one at the till. The food was ok but limited choice. We...would have liked more than one drink but as the girl doing the drinks round and collecting the used plates was busy she never returned to ask would we like any more drinks or was everything alright? The gent at the wok, was not happy at his work at all, not a smile or anything from him. I will say he cooked the best bit of steak i have had in some time. For the cst not good value.
On my way back to the UK staying in the IBIS on Cite Europe, I wanted a bit of a change for a meal in advance of taking the train the following day. M wok was a handy walk away (the alternatives were the hotel...restaurant, McDonalds or La Patarerie. It was fine, adequate, it served a purpose. It is a buffet meal for 18 euros not chea but then the have a captive market and you pay for the convenience and it was ok, clean, hot and there was an option of the chef cooking stuf for you. the presion was tasty, the meal was filling it was fne
our first experience of this restaurant and I must say it was great! we fought for a table, but it was worth waiting. 22 euro for one can eat buffet and a drink. some of the employees might be more helpful. let's talk about the menu. starter. fish, salat, sushi, meat. fish, salat, meat, oriental dishes, or have their choice of meat etc. boiled directly in front of them. desserts. super, but too many on the lists. then contain tea/coffee. even vegetarians can get an excellent meal.
Ate here with a French friend one Sunday evening. There's a huge buffet, beautifully presented and everything very fresh. All self-service of course. Massive choice, even Sushi plus a range of meats and fish which you can have grilled. Great value we paid...about 19 euros each. Will definitely return, soon!
