Long drive from Nelson home to Hope BC ... stopped in Castlegar for the first time in search of a good breakfast. Found this restaurant offered all day breakfast. The menu was limited to 2 eggs with toast and hasbrowns.. or Omelette.The server was very rude , no smile and actually left our table to answer and talk on the phone right in the middle of taking our order!! With only one other table to serve our meal took 15 minutes with my sister having to get up find the server and ask for more coffee!! Horrible service with mediocre food to say the least!
This hotel and restaurant has changed hands recently, but that is no excuse for serving a hamburger(patty melt actually) raw and still partially frozen in the middle. Then when I insisted on returning the first one, and waited patiently for the replacement, it came exactly the same! The poor waitress was embarrassed, but she should not even have served it to me. The wife's Monte Cristo sandwich was just ok. This previously popular stop is definitely off our list. Oh yes, and the manager thought he was a hero for not charging me for my meal. Ha!
Don't be put off by the lackluster decor - this was a great breakfast. We had been driving for hours and were looking forward to something nutritious (not fast food!) The traditional eggs and bacon was large, fresh and hearty. My French toast was the best I've eaten! Highly recommended!
We have gone a couple times for breakfast, their breakfast food is okay but very very bland. Their lunch/dinner is not good. They don't even season their fries. It's unfortunate that this is one of the only few places to have breakfast in this town. I would not recommend to a friend. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We ate breakfast here three times so must have enjoyed the food. Service was better and food better presented when we were there on a Friday that it was on the weekend.
The Spanish omelette here is fantastic. I keep meaning to try other things, but I don't want to pass up on this omelette! The service could use a little love, though.

We had a more than adequate breakfast here....large portions... food was tasty(eggs benny) ! Service was very good and friendly.
