Auf einer Mehrtägigen Motorrad Tour durch die Schweiz machten wir einen Halt im Monte Leone auf dem Simplon Pass. Beim Eingang hängt ein Plüsch Murmeltier welches auf jede Bewegung pfeift. Dies hat nichts mit der Bewertung direkt zu tun, aber der Nerv Faktor vom pfeifen war noch so das i-Tüpfchen...Wir sitzen nun im Restaurant, auf Walliser Boden, mit herrlichem Blick auf das Atemberaubenden Panorama und überall im Restaurant hangen die A4 Zettel mit dem Hinweis auf Fondue, 28.- p.P.. Gut, der Preis ist stolz, aber egal im Wallis schmeckt dafür das Fondue bestimmt excellent. Fondue bestellt und das Fiasko begann. Brot wurde kurz darauf geliefert, natürlich völlig trocken. Tricked by hunger on the Swiss Simplon Pass, we stopped off at this roadside eatery for a quick snack. It was a big mistake. Starters come from a mediocre self-serve buffet and main courses are ordered from the kitchen. The breaded chicken escalope was not nice, over-egged and greasy. With a carafe of open local wine the bill came to about CHF27, which as a rip-off. Worse still it took 20 minutes to be able to pay the bill - as the staff were overwhelmed by an arriving coach-party when we sought to settle our bill.Actively unpleasant service...Avoid this place.
Drinking a coffee here seems like a real punishment, maybe it's a political price, to keep someone away? Next time, I'll have coffee out there with a camping stove. Watch that the price is not exposed (at least I did not see it before ordering,) along with the cup immediately put the receipt. not only the coffee is expressed, but also the receipt! Greetings.
This is a restaurant near the top of the Simplon Pass. It is a distinctive circular building, so wherever you sit you get a great view out onto the mountains. Quite expensive but handy if you want a comfort break for a quick drink, snack and rest rooms while travelling on this route.

Ich habe nur gegessen. Ein solch flachgeklopftes Schnitzel habe ich nie gesehen. Mehr Paniermehl denn Schnitzel. Pommes waren zu salzig und die Karotten nicht fertig gekocht... schade
Wonderful penne Monte Leone, very special. Tip: take salad dressing on the side, as they tend to over-do. Very generous portions, fresh and pleasantly served. Personnel very friendly.
was an exceptional place, but the gerance changed. poor service, cordonbleu 42 franchi and was small and of bad quality. sin! disaster on all fronts!
as always friendly welcome,the rooms are nice. Those located above the restaurant have a breathtaking view. Breathtaking views. I recommend it.

We took a break in this establishment at the pass of the simplon. very beautiful view and ideal place for a drink or lunch. nice staff.
