Pretty sure the last person to review this restaurant was an employee. Chose this restaurant because of its trip advisor ratings (didn't realise that there was only one rating). We were the only ones in the restaurant, and that should have been our first sign. Sat down and ordered some beers and my corona came out with a lime that was rotting on the outside and looked like it had been sitting out for days. We ordered chicken nachos and chicken and beef tacos. We started looking at Google reviews and seriously considered bailing before our meal came out. Both meals were tasteless and not appealing. The chicken and meat hadn't been cooked with any flavour, it had been just dumped in the meal....
Unfortunately, this restaurant has closed. It was never the best Montezumas, mostly because the space that it occupied was a multi purpose space and had no ambiance. Because of the large windows, it felt like eating in a fishbowl. Much could have been done to enhance the experience, but in a rented retail space, no doubt there were too many restrictions.
The food was delicious, with wonderful flavors, and the service was friendly. We used a $80 coupon for our meal, which was plenty for two people. Even though there were four of us in our group, we did not exceed the coupon amount. There were plenty of food options to choose from, and each meal we ordered was satisfyingly filling.
We visited this restaurant with my family for Sunday lunch recently and we were all pleased with our meals. The food was delicious and the table service was quick and friendly. Our meals were served hot. They have a wide menu selection for both adults and children. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant soon.

Very tasty meals. good sizes. excellent mexican flavours. Staff are friendly. Cater for kids well, our daughter was given a colouring picture and crayons to do while we waited for our meals. However the toys provided for kids near the counter area were in a need of a good clean.
Even though the decor is gorgeous and colourful, I haven't returned because the food was average and service was mediocre. I enjoy authentic mexican food and was happy when I saw one was opening in browns plains but was disappointed
If this restaurant wants to succeed, they should consider hiring Mexican chefs as they excel in cooking and presenting food. The service was good, but the overall quality and presentation of the dishes could be improved.
I am a lover of authentic mexican food and i do enjoy montezumas i find their prices expensive. This particular restaurant is clean and serves a good meal
