This is a local hangout for Mordi locals and is popular - upstairs in the rooftop bar-great view! But dirty tables, poor service and tables not wiped. When staff did come out - very very quick to grab your just emptied plate but no cloth in sight! No ash trays emptied and I had to get a cloth from the bar to wipe the table.I was charged for bacon not realising when I was asked if I wanted bacon that it was an extra cost $3 for 1 piece - I could buy a packet for that price. Staff should notify patrons its an extra cost when they ask if you want bacon with your hamburger. I'm not impressed that it wasn't mentioned. My saturday dining group of 10 tried this venue for the first time and all agreed, we'll be returning soon.My main of lamb steaks was cooked perfectly, delicious and served with sweet potato mash and vegetables and a rosemary and wine jus. (although I had a choice of chips and salad)The menu is varied and the servings a very good size. For dessert I chose the lemon tart which was wonderful and light, although more a lemon cheesecake, but I'm being picky.The dining area is well spaced and with good parking and reasonable prices I can recommend this relaxed venue.
We had high tea recently Mordialloc HQ and was disappointed that when walking in the carpet was very sticky underfoot. The sandwiches were plentiful and nice. The sausage rolls were a bit oily. And unfortunately the scones were cold and hard, already with jam and cream on them. Also the petit four cakes were still cold from the fridge not at room temperature. I was disappointed. My last comment would be that I was not told that payment was to be paid the week before, which I did not pay. We paid on the day.
My title might be a bit harsh but it is not intended that way, because the food is ok. Just little things stop it from getting a higher rating.Today we ordered Roast Pork & a Parmi without the sauce as my wife is allergic to garlic. Her salad was ordered without salad dressing.The disappointments were that the salad was brought out with dressing on. Also the pork crackling was quite hard.Service here is good, but they are just not quite up there with their food.

Last night a group of us went to the live acoustic night downstairs at Mordy HQ. The guy playing was amazing. The room had been updated and the lounges and high tables gave it a trendy atmosphere. We ordered some cocktails and tapas...the cosmopolitan was delicious. Highly recommend the sliders and crab claw tapas. Will definitely be making this a regular catch up with our friends.
Not much of a selection- especially if you're gluten free but the food they have is good and served in very large portions. Great for seniors and a kid's room is available for play also. The calamari is delicious as is the risotto and parma.
Members draw. Didn't know even though we are members but don't get emails any more. Power out. Promised free drinks but never got them. Total fiasco. People treated like cattle- just to win eight grand. What a tragedy.
