My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to Morse Farm while on vacation in Vermont. The farm itself was really cute, with wood carvings by Burr adorning the various buildings. I recommend walking the Maple Trail in the back so you can see some of the tubing used in the network of sap collection it was really educational especially since various tree species are labeled along the trail. The workers were extremely kind and informative. You can do a taste test of the 4 grades of syrup they offer, every one is so good! Visited in the summer during a road trip through New England. We arrived close to closing, so we didn't get to make a trek back to see the trees. That being said, I was happy to be able to get a creamee and to see the store and many of the exhibits. The employees were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my creamee as well. Families were milling about the property or sitting at the tables outside. Really lovely place, and the views are so green and gorgeous. Then again, most of Vermont is gorgeous. Definitely worth visiting.
Not fancy, just fun. We enjoyed our visit. Knowing nothing about how maple syrup is made, we drove out of town a bit and checked this place out. It is very rustic. With so much space dedicated to the gift shop as to the actual maple syrup process, we were a little leery. But I must say that the video and adjacent facilities provided for an informative visit. This place has character and is run by characters. We recommend Morse Farm to our friends.
Great place to visit in Montpelier, VT to learn about the process of making maple syrup and maple-flavored products! The farm shop has a wide collection of souvenirs and goodies! Such a lovely store full of great gift ideas! We just happened to be in the area and decided to stop in, and I'm so glad we did.. The syrups are top-notch and there's a great product selection. I grabbed a quick shot of the sunset as they were closing. Well worth the trip.
Great tour. Learn your maple ? syrup. It's important when you choose what to buy. Enjoyed this place. We bought #4, the robust but my wife bakes with it...we do not do pancakes or French toast. We got exactly what we wanted
I really enjoy the maple creemee at this place. It's a great spot for families. A few years ago, I got a Christmas tree from here. I appreciate the history they have.
