I have visited this club twice, using Living Social vouchers. The big breakfast on the deck was enjoyable and certainly a beautiful way to start the weekend. When I visited for lunch I ordered the short rib (yes, singular) on chips. The meat was tasty and tender but there needed to be something else more interesting than chips on the plate. My son in law had the same and left half his meat as he said it was mostly fat. As he was paying his own way ($30 for main) he wasn't impressed. But the "tiramisu" ($14) was a glass full of cream with two biscuits shoved in the top. No sponge, no discernible flavour at all. Just a bowl of cream basically!I was very disappointed wi...

The times I've been to this place it's never really changed and it surprises me to see people recommending the food which we thought over cooked. "

Never a good idea to challenge fate. We had been Mosman Rowers for breakfast previously and, although the service then was execrable, the food was very good - so we entered with the rationale ‘how bad can it be?’. Oh dear. The service was as we remembered it (although after a certain amount of elapsed time the concept of ‘service’ ceases to be relevant). The food was not as we remembered it. My brioche French toast was clearly supermarket-industrial-white French toast. My wife’s zucchini and corn fritter was, in fact, a zucchini-free zone (presumably it had eloped with the brioche) and one cannot but sympathise with the chef who, not unreasonably, had assumed from the external charring...

A cracking location but its absolutely wasted on this restaurant. Below average food and service. My breakfast order was the mushroom stuffed with goats cheese, poached eggs with tomato marmalade. What arrived was a small slice of sourdough topped with some wizened old button mushrooms and two poached eggs. No goats cheese or tomato marmalade, no flavour and little substance. My friend ordered the Spinnaker, being a standard bacon, eggs, hash brown, sausage brekkie but it was so greasy she left most of it on the plate. The 2/5 is because the coffee was half decent and the morning sunshine on the deck is lovely. No other reason to visit this place however.
Good food and quality service. Is hard to break the bad reputation that this club had in the past, Now with new management and an extremely well developed menu the quality of the food is exceptional! Having a Justin North - trained chef, waterfront location and a new redesigned Italian based menu, this place rocks! Definitely coming back again. Tip: book a table over the phone so you can get a nice view -----01 Jun, 2015----- Seafood Platter. Amazing king prawns, mussles, pan seared barramundi, scallops, oysters, squid, clams, crab and side of wedges. Perfect for a romantic lunch
I popped in to Mosman rowers Club last Sunday afternoon - a real hidden gem. The place isn't pretentious, the staff knew what they were doing. I tried the craft beers they had on tap and me and my mate shared a tasting plate - It was a good size for two and the variety was awesome. It was like 5 different tasty meals in one. Overall the beers are good - the staff were excellent and Ill be back for some more. Chill atmosphere, Good beer, Good food.
Given the location, views and surrounds, you'd think they would at least TRY and provide decent food in the main bar. We ordered some pizzas that were just pathetic, at $18 each thankyou very much. You know one day they'll get a decent manager to run the place and demand someone in the kitchen actually overhauls the menu and provides decent grub at club prices. What a waste of one of Sydney's best dining locations! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
A hidden gem! I had my 60th celebration lunch with 36 people there on Sunday 3 Jan 2016. Food was great, staff was efficient yet friendly, great vibe, awesome views. What more do you want from a small community club? I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Those people who had a bad experience should try again, with an open mind - we loved it!
