My mother's fried chicken is undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted—not just because she’s my mom. Every Sunday, my friends eagerly ask if they can come over for dinner. In fact, we even had my wedding rehearsal dinner at her place because all my groomsmen were craving her fried chicken. While Mother Cluckers is a strong contender, my mother’s chicken remains unbeatable. Their collard greens are excellent, but I wish they would prepare them without pork. I suggest using smoked turkey instead—it's a healthier choice that would really appeal to your customers!
Smallish place on Northwest Hwy a little north of Palatine Rd. But with big food!You go up to the counter and order; then they bring you your food. Somewhere between a fast food place and a sit down/wait on you restaurant.Many choices about 9 different sandwiches; 4 paninis; 9 dinners; and a few appetizers, sides, and salads. Half the menu in chicken related (you could guess that from the name). Yet there's shrimp, ribs, pork chop, pulled pork, and even a portabello mushroom sandwich.Great service; low prices big portions.
This was my first experience ordering from this restaurant. My daughter enjoyed her catfish, but the chicken we had was cold and appeared to be old. The hushpuppies were hard as rocks and quite dry inside. The macaroni and cheese was overly watery, and the collard greens were the most disappointing—burnt bacon, lacking seasoning, and unexpectedly sour. I’m rating it 2 stars, primarily because of the catfish.
Very disappointed with this place. We ordered take out and when we received it I was shocked to find out that their menu is not even their own food. They order their food from Genuine Broaster Chicken and market it as their own but the use Genuine's boxes. The mashed potatoes were super thick with little taste, the biscuits were dry and disgusting but it's very weird this place uses another companies menu Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Fun atmosphere with great comfort food. Speedy with online orders as well! Prices aren’t typical fast food prices, but the quality is much better than your typical fast food chicken chain. Only problem I would say is the sides are small and I wish the Mac and cheese was more of a baked Mac and less of a cafeteria Mac. Worth a try!
This is among the best fried chicken I've ever had! As a southerner, I can assure you that the collard greens were amazing as well. The staff is friendly and prompt, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely make this my favorite place to visit whenever I'm in the area.
I didnt like the taste of the food. The max and cheese looked and tasted like box mac and i asked for broasted chicken and got fried instead. However this was my first time here, I will try again.
The staff is fantastic, and the chicken has a mouthwatering coating. The baked beans and onion straws are exceptional. The restaurant is impeccably clean, and the prices are very reasonable. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
What a fantastic discovery! I tried the Shrimp Po Boy and the roasted chicken, and both dishes were amazing. The kitchen really knows what they're doing; I’d trust anything on their menu!
