Mother's Kitchen is a favorite of my older sister and I had the pleasure to experience their delicious sandwiches on two separate occasions this week. During my first visit we ordered the Quincy, a sandwich with fresh mozzarella, basil, tomatoes, green, olives and vinaiigrette on Focaccia. The sandwich was light, refreshing and delicious. This has rated 4 4.5. We also ordered a homemade lemonade. They advised that they tart it, but noticed that they have a pitcher of simple syrup in the refrigerator, so you can taste. My husband and I got married to MDI on 7/15 and were looking for a place for lunch for our big wedding party in the morning of our wedding. All we mentioned here (including competitors of mother's kitchen! said mother was the best sandwich shop on the island. Wonderful to remember on two days, Tasha and her team agreed to make 32 sandwiches and two big salads for us! The ordering process was super fast and easy, and Tasha assured us that she would contact us on Facebook (super responsive if something appeared. At first I was a little nervous that we found an old woman in a dirty kitchen and then we came in. The ambience is so comfortable and covered and the food (we had breakfast sandwiches, blueberries and coffee) was so fresh and delicious. You can see into the entire (very clean) kitchen and watch how they make your food. In any case it is worth stopping, you will not regret it!
