Since a new owner has taken over, Mottley has experienced a decline. It is disappointing and unfortunate. There is an abundance of merchandise that no one buys, while the beloved previous merchandise is no longer available. It used to be known for its books, community atmosphere, and small but high-quality menu, but all of that has disappeared. The laminated menus are dirty, the set up is off, and there are too many drink coolers. The tables are seldom cleaned and the woman at the register is consistently rude. I used to visit 3-4 times a week, but it is no longer a place I will frequent.
I typically don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so today. Mottley Kitchen prepared my Classic Egg Sandwich with Turkey Bacon, Pimento, and Cheddar with great care. I was apprehensive about opening my bag and finding my over-medium eggs mixed in with my Cold Brew, but thankfully that was not the case. The packaging was excellent and the food was delicious! They also offer well-priced pastries. The French Croissant was large and flaky. I am looking forward to visiting in person.
I don't give perfect ratings to anyone, so please keep that in mind. The Avocado Toast was incredible. I asked for extra hot sauce which added a fantastic flavor and spice, even though I'm not usually a fan of spice. The smoothies I tried in person were a must-try, they were incredibly delicious. And finally, the seasonal drink, Iced Moroccan Mint Tea, was unsweetened with fresh mint leaves, and incredibly refreshing. It arrived double wrapped and didn't spill.
I ordered from Uber Eats and everything tasted fresh, natural, and delicious. The chicken avocado dish was exceptional! I had it on a croissant and it was fantastic! All the pastries were tender and freshly made. The lemon olive oil cake was very moist and more than met my expectations. It's best enjoyed warm. I loved it here! Their food is fulfilling and sufficient in quantity. An added bonus is that they endorse everything on their menu is halal. I loved how refreshing and lightly sweetened their Moroccan tea was.SN: Rooftop seating available. I would not come here to do quiet work but I think it’s a good spot to meet friends.
This is a dream come true! I have been searching for healthy food options in the Bronx with no luck until I discovered Mottley Kitchen. They offer everything from a variety of coffee options to delicious pastries to healthy lunches. The atmosphere is amazing as well. I love everything about this place.
Food from here is always awesome but today my vegetarian dish had bacon added. My coworker enjoyed the bacon from my vegetarian Butternut Squash Kale Salad. The Turmeric Latte, Avocado Toasta d cinnamon Raisin Rolls were tasty as always. :
All I can say is if I can rate them 10/10 I will. My sauce was forgotten for a uber order and the owner himself delivered it. Also note the food is always on point but the hospitality is off the roof. I love this Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This place has always been a good staple for me for excellent quality coffee and food. Hubby loves the Ultimate BLT and the sausage and egg sammie. All in all good quality food.
