We have visited Motto Motto many times. It is always a culinary delight at fantastic prices. The restaurant is reasonably small but very centrally located to the rest of the Garden City cinema/food court area, very clean & the service is always friendly. We are Japanese "converts" over the last 18 months & Motto Motto provides us with a little "memory-taster" when we can't get on a plane to Japan. We are particular fans of their panko chicken/pork curry & rice, the teri-teri chicken & rice bowls & the classic ramens. We love Motto Motto! The decor is gorgeous with the cool angular design elements, the Japanese wooden stools, and the gorgeous bowls the food are served in. The food is pretty amazing too.We have been twice in the last month or so. Our first visit was for the ramen and gyoza, both was very good. Our most recent visit we chose to have the kaarage chicken curry and the most amazing Japanese peach cider... both must tries!The service is quick and friendly. Definitely one of the best shopping centre food court places we've been to.
I love Motto Motto every time. Food is amazing and a great regular place to go to for quick Japanese food. Service is quick and food comes out pretty fast after ordering. The only thing about this place is that the line is long sometimes but the tables turn over fairly quickly. Not particularly a good cafe for big groups of people, but it's a great place with beautiful fresh food.
fter reading all the positive reviews we decided to try the ramen at this bright attractively decorated eatery in the Garden City shopping centre food court. We tried the red classic tonkotsu ramen and the tan-tan men. We did think that the bowls were a little smaller than usual and the stock was not as rich, but they were delicious with perfectly cooked chewy al dente noodles.

It was quite busy when we turned up, but the food still arrived in good time. I had the teriyaki salmon on rice (yum) and my partner had karage (good), and we shared some gyoza (yum). Everything was very tasty and I'd definitely go back.The only disappointment was the edamame – we prefer ours warm and salted, and these were dead cold and unseasoned, not good.
Yes I keep coming back, this visit was a lunch time on a Saturday. For some reason we managed to get in before the weekend lunch rush and got a seat straight away. The food was quick and delicious as usual YUM YUM YUM. Agree it's probably not full traditional Japanese, but it is still YUMMO!
The ramen here pritty good for ramen most places in the centre number one and 2 on the menu the ones to go for noodles are average and soup thin soup make sure u ask for extra noodles as most dont know it's free here staff are ok sometimes better to eat here on week day then week end.
Grab a bowl here, lots of choice and tasty and authentic. Their teriyaki chicken is nice, as is their curry. We particularly like their chirashi sushi bowl. Fast and friendly service as you would expect from a Japanese restaurant.

Friendly and happy Motto Motto Staff, from time we ordered and until it arrived was a minimal waiting seeing we ordered the most popular dish late day. Everything was fresh and tased amazing.
