This is a very hard restaurant to find unless you know it but it is well worth looking for it for the record it is just past Arcangues towards St Pée. The building is beautiful set in an old water mill extended into the garden to give a lovely outdoors feel and the doors can all open up. The cuisine is fantastic and very locally driven one word of warming is that all the starters are fish and all bar one shellfish not a problem for us but for some this may be an issue. The four of us had one of each of the starters and the lobster was particularly good. A truly awful dinner experience in a restaurant I have eaten in many times! When ordering my meal the arrogant and ignorant maitre d ' informed me I must order dessert at the start of the meal if I wanted it! I informed him that I didn 't know if I would want dessert.He then individually informed each member in my party of his rule as he took each order. Starters were all good. Main courses were average mostly fish . 03/28/2024 The Alotz mill, a gourmet stopover. A place full of serenity and tranquility in a bucolic setting. Bold, creative cuisine, a real palette of flavors with a lovely presentation. A farandole of dishes, each more surprising than the last, without a false note. The culinary walk was exceptional. Nice food and wine pairing. The service is perfectly paced and pleasant. We went to this restaurant after recommendation from the hotel and we absolutely loved it. The restaurant is a 20 minute drive from Biarritz, but it was worth the trip. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the restaurant has a good atmosphere. The food is based on good, and natural products and tastes delicious and each dish are also colorful and beautiful to look at. We highly recommend this restaurant!
We had difficulty finding this charming small farmhouse restaurant, even with our GPS. But worth the travel angst. Beyond charming. We were there on a chilly April afternoon. It is almost a greenhouse in a garden; there were tables in the garden I assume for aperitifs or coffee in better weather. Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Service very friendly and personal. Highly recommend.

The price wont make it the everday place but the food was top quality and one of the best meals ive ever had in a lovely atmosphere
