Decent restaurant. Stopped in in the suggestion of a friend while in Old Forge. Had a good meal. Large helpings, reasonable price, and good service. The vibe is Adirondack all the way. I like the fact that they have outdoor seating, but didn’t like that it’s close enough to Rte. 28 that we heard a lot of traffic noise. It wasn’t as though we had to talk loudly to he heard, but for such a quiet spot the road nose wasn’t great. Our server was attentive and friendly. We shared the poutine. It was tasty and very large appetizer. It was ok for flavor, but not more than that. The meal we shared was pretty great. We had the Lake Effect sandwich. It’s brisket, pulled pork, bacon, and cheese on Texas...
Wasn’t expecting a lot when we walked in and didn’t smell a smoker or bbq. Maybe they don’t know what good bbq is. I wouldn’t be surprised as ADK isn’t known for stellar cuisine. I got the smoked turkey and brisket combo. It wasn’t really bad, nor was it good. I didn’t eat most of it. Cornbread was dry and the fries were soggy. The portion size for the money was very good but again I barely ate any. I will say the Mac and cheese was one of the best I’ve had.
Stayed at great pines and ordered takeout here, we got the Cobb salad with brisket( spicy ranch dressing, it was delicious, pulled pork and chicken plate was good and plentiful. Smoked turkey sandwich was good, fries were good. The bartender was great,she had everything we needed including extra sauce and made sure we had plates napkins and utensils, much appreciated goodplace, service and food!
Stop in on a whim and was very impressed. Passed this place many times and always wanted to stop and try it out. I was blown away with their menu options and specials. Food was on point and service was amazing. My husband and I were so happy we stopped and eager to visit again and try more things on the menu! 4.25 but google wont let me. The turkey was hands down the best item we ordered. And that includes pulled pork, ribs, brisket, and catfish. Although these other items we good the turkey crushed it. The pulled pork was definitely a respectable second. Everything was worth a try.
Had a small wedding catered (20 people) Everything was perfect. Flavors were great. Portions were more than expected. Price was VERY reasonable. Everything arrived on time and hot. Service: 5

Great site, small bar and dining area both were full so we had cocktails and watched the food come out all looked really good ribs pulled pork and more
