Moxies Barrie Restaurant

I had a delicious meal at this restaurant. I ordered the mushroom rigatoni, which was fantastic, and my drink was excellent as well. However, there was dried spinach stuck to my daughter's cutlery. When I brought it to the server's attention, he simply thanked us for letting him know. It took a while for him to check on us, so we ended up grabbing utensils from another table. We were also not asked if we were celebrating anything special, although we were there for a birthday. I noticed that when they seated another group nearby, the staff inquired if they were celebrating something special. I made a reservation through Open Table, but I was disappointed to find that we ended up with a table right by the restroom. While the food and service were fantastic, the noise level was unbearable. My friend and I had to eat in silence because we couldn't hear each other at all. I glanced up at the ceiling and noticed there were no acoustic tiles; you really need some, or perhaps a whistle to help tone down the chatter. Unfortunately, this pretty much ruined our evening.

There was a nice ambiance in the dining room, the service was friendly and efficient. The food had good portions without being too big and it was very nicely presented and tasty. As it was my birthday I had a piece of key lime pie that my husband and I split which we both enjoyed and the amount was deducted from our bill. This is one of our favourite places to eat out and in 12-15 visits over the years every Mixies location has been consistent. Definitely recommended.

Our waitress seemed disengaged and almost hostile; she barely paused to check on us, more like asking how we were while walking past us. One of the highlights for our kids has always been the dessert experience, where they bring out the ice cream and pour hot water over it to create a smoky effect. Unfortunately, our waitress skipped this part and simply delivered the ice cream without any presentation. Overall, we've decided not to return to this Moxie's location. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

I reserved a table for lunch and ended up staying for two meetings afterward (at 2:00 and 4:00). The restaurant was quite empty from 2:00 to 4:00, yet the manager informed me that I should consider going to a coffee shop next time since I was taking up a table. Our lunch cost $150, and we also ordered coffee and sparkling water during the meetings. I will not be returning. I plan to hold my monthly meetings in Barrie at a place where my clients and I feel welcome.

The food and service were outstanding. I ordered my usual beef vindaloo, which is my absolute favorite—I've stopped even looking at the menu. However, I found the price of a glass of wine to be a steep $19, which I think is excessive. This pricing has somewhat tainted my experience at my favorite restaurant in Barrie. We used to go there for drinks occasionally, but they've priced themselves out of our range.

We shared a few appetizers, and everything was beautifully prepared. If you haven't tried Moxies yet, I highly recommend it. The fries were cooked to perfection, and even their salads have a gourmet touch. The calamari is truly unique and unlike anything else.

I've been to moxies a few times and I've never been disappointed. My favorite dish is the salmon with lemon and wild rice. The atmosphere is super nice and cozy, and I think the prices are decent for everything that is offered. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
