However, there's one dish that I believe could save the restaurant. If this dish were the only offering, I think they could still thrive. That dish is the mool-hwe, and it is absolutely incredible. It's perfectly seasoned, with great noodles, and the vegetables complement the fresh ingredients nicely. My only complaint is that the amount of fish seems insufficient. If they could add about 30-50% more fish, it would be perfect. They used to provide more, but in my last two visits, I only received around ten pieces, which just isn't enough. I will definitely return to the restaurant for the mool-hwe, but I strongly urge them to address the rice issue with their sushi; it really detracts from...
The food was decent. My youngest child enjoyed his "big mama" dish, but he doesn't eat Japanese food often. It was a bit pricey, particularly for the veggie roll Maki. They also charge extra for sauces and $2.50 for a can of Coke. I understand they need to increase prices to stay profitable, but they really need to focus on cleanliness; that was a big turnoff for me. If your restaurant has a dark decor, it needs to be cleaned regularly, including the mirrors in the main room and the bathrooms. Based on this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning. The staff was friendly, but they could benefit from having a better knowledge of the menu.
The food was fantastic! I highly recommend trying the appetizers; the Agedashi Tempura Calamari was perfectly fried and came loaded with vegetables. While some may prefer more meat, I enjoyed the balance that the veggies provided. The seafood udon was a generous portion and simply delicious. The ramen was also impressive, and I particularly recommend the Miso Ramen. Mozu is situated in an Asian plaza filled with various dining options, but I truly believe this restaurant stands out as a must-visit.
