order: cheeseburger and chicken sandwich mcfrowny meals with sprit and koks billy, andrew, louis and other staff were all very friendly and immediately let us know the mcfrowny meal are the most popular. after the order, billy told us the story of herrn charlie and said that one of the co-founders with her family lived in the la dream center when they were homeless and thus return to the la dream center. every McFrowny court bought, returns to the la dream center to feed 7 people. the fries were made with fresh kartoffels and had a beautiful crispy outside area and soft inside, which were lighter and better than mcdonalds fries, and they were perfectly bribed with celalaya salt. the nuggets...
This place was absolutely delicious! I was hesitant at first because the photos of the food didn't look very exciting, like a McDonald's burger. But the flavor was out of this world. It brought back memories of happy meals from my childhood. The presentation of the meal was also lovely. I felt like a guilty pleasure sneaking away in my car. The decor was beautiful and everything about the experience was fantastic. I will definitely be coming back. By the way, I brought along a non-vegan who eats McDonald's regularly and even he agreed that it didn't taste like McDonald's - in fact, he thought it was even better. That says it all.
I don't know how they do it. what a magic that is. I have not eaten mcdonalds since childhood, but they somehow replicated the taste of mcdonalds and actually improved on it as it is an improved idealized non-fat version of mcdonalds. our favorites here is the vegan chicken sandwich. it's insanely good. the double mcfrowny burger is also very good, but perhaps ask them to just go to ketchup. the nuggets are sooo sooo good, especially with the green sauce. their fries are also good. we also love the packaging, very sweet.
This place has smashed it, tastes just like McDonald’s burger and fries, chicken nuggets could do with changing but were good, just not like McDonald’s from what i remember. Its basically a way better version of McDonald’s because its vegan, if you miss McDonald’s go here. Non vegans will not know the difference. One of the strangest vegan restaurants I have gone to. I had the feeling I was on a movie set of a anti-McDonald's documentary. I ordered the Not a Double consisting of a double vegan cheeseburger, vegan chicken nuggets, amd a drink (got sparkling water). The fries were soggy amd not very tasty. The burger was. tasty and what you would expect of an Impossible Burger with cheap, white McDonald's-type bread. I think they could offer a better Chicken nuggets brand.
Mr. Charlie really knows how to market. Read the LA Times article about the mission. Love that he wants to partner with failing fast food restaurants to turn them into plant based exhibitions.
We didn't order the double double, just the Frowny Meal. The flavors were delicious, especially with the green sauce. The nuggets were a bit saltier than I like, but they had a great texture.
it has everything and the box is so sweet. the sauces are delicious; get them all. highly recommend this place; the hype is well deserved. more places, please!
Social media made me come here lol and it lived up to the hype. Using impossible Patties, the sauce used makes it taste just like McDonald’s!
