I took my wife there for her birthday today (1/25). While waiting for our table, I went to the bar to order drinks. She wanted a drink with ice cream in it it took 10 minutes from the time that I ordered the drinks until it got them, because the bartender (Mr. Paul himself) was waiting for the ice cream from the kitchen. That was far from the worst part, though. After our waitress brought our food, we didn't see a single person until we were done with our meals no one checked on our food, no one brought water (our glasses were dry), no opportunity to order another drink. The service was great, my husband had the aged rib eye he said it didn’t have any flavor, he did mention it to our server when asked. I had the King Crab legs, they lacked flavor and some tasted like they had been left in water too long. Our appetizer was calamari and it was good, my French onion soup was also good, my husband said is salad was just ok blue cheese dressing was lacking flavor. We will not be going back, we have much better food at Texas Roadhouse and Outback for much cheaper
It was my first time eating at Mr. Paul’s, and it definitely won’t be my last! Watching my Caesar salad made right in front of me was the highlight of the meal. The best place to go for a really special date to celebrate anniversary or birthday. Ambiance plus serious meat entrees that you don't find anywhere else in this area. Old school chophouse in the middle of an industrial strip. Out of place and time, and that's a good thing. Try the table side Caeser salad, it's excellent. Everything is great here, but it's for memorable occasions due to it being pricey but reasonable.
