It's the first time I've been to Mrs Wong's but it certainly won't be the last. It's not licensed so you can bring your own drink if you want or have a soft drink or Chinese tea which is what I had. The atmosphere is homely, and relaxing and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The star though is the food, it's really delicious and well cooked. We had battered squid to start with and it's the best squid I've eaten, the batter was light and crispy and the squid was tender and just melted in the mouth. The duck was also tasty and well cooked. Probably one of the worst restaurants I've eaten at in a very long time! Food was disgusting, didn't feel fresh and tasted bland. Only one person was working there, who we had to shout for many times as he would go in the back and eat his own food. It is now the next day and I have very bad food poisoning hence why the food definitely was not fresh. Please stay away from this horrible place they don't care!
has been eating for 15 years with woman wongs, consistently good eating and good value for money. yum yum, crispy duck, although always have to order extra pancakes. when they visit to eat, they can get through the primordial decoration and the proximity to their bite, but not, the food good and it brings their own so good value. friendly service.
Lovely Place. We've been there thrice in the last 2 weeks with family and friends. The atmosphere is warm and cosy and the staff are really friendly probably the first chinese restaurant ive been to with friendly staff . The food is to the mark and my favourite is the squid in salt and chilly...simply delicious. Will be there soon again. :
I visited this restaurant for the first time after living in the area for a few years. Despite the negative reviews, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and of good quality, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back.
love it! we've been on the road for 20 years and it's always great. reasonable prices, bring their own bottle, prime decor everything makes for a friendly big eat. it is not posh but its fantastic!
