Mt Pleasant Tavern has something to offer everyone for a night out.Great modern menu, good fresh tasty food, good kids menu. Service staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.Well stocked bar and friendly bar staff.TAB and Pokies for adults and fun kids room to keep the kids occupied.Separate bar area from restaurant.Decent amount of parking.Dan Murphy's liqueur barn on site for take away alcohol purchases.Good live music concerts with decent well known bands booked to play.Suggest booking early for restaurant and when bands are playing.Definitely worth a visit.
Had a delicious lunch at Mt Pleasant Tavern. Food was delicious and very well presented. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There are also seniors meal available at $13 which includes a bonus, dessert! For lovers of lambs fry, not found on menus in many places, I can highly recommend this dish, tasty melt in the mouth liver served in a bacon gravy, with creamy mash and fresh veggies. Partner had the fish served with chips and salad. Plenty of food on the plate. Thumbs up!
Once a month I take about 8 people out for dinner at Mount Pleasant Tavern.Good food but:Messed up food order.Messed up table booking.No table water available. No glasses available. Difficult to order drinks.Staff members rude.Manager believes everything is good. Bad experience.
My friends and I are always up for catchups at Mt P Tav. It doesn't matter what day of the week or time of day we always have a great time. Schnitzels are the best! Great TAB facilities. Always showing main events. Surprisingly we'll know entertainment. Good job guys and girls.

Meals are very nice. I like the fact you could get so many toppings on the schnitzels. Fast service and meals are out in minutes didnt have to wait long. Nice and quiet place
Had a pleasant evening. Went out for a quiet meal and a glass of wine and wasn't disappointed. The duck spring rolls are a must. The staff were really helpful and friendly.
My wife and I dined at this Tavern again during our latest stay in Mackay. It may pay to book or get there early as it became very busy and crowded while we were there.
Have eaten here several times and it's always been great. The kids play room is an awesome bonus. Make sure you book though because they tend to fill up quick!
