I was at this restaurant on a Friday night. The place was dirty, the staff were in dirty clothes and wore dirty masks that were not properly worn over their noses or mouths. The staff were unfriendly and seemed to lack knowledge of customer service. I had to wait over 5 minutes to be served, and then waited a long time for my order to be cooked. The young girls working there seemed inexperienced and orders were mixed up. When I finally received my order and went home to eat it, I was appalled at the poor quality of the food. It was absolutely disgusting and I had to throw it away. I have no desire to return to this restaurant after such a disappointing experience.
It was a pleasure to visit this old-fashioned fish and chip shop that is becoming rare these days. The menu is simple and the staff is friendly. The only modern touch is the EFTPOS machine. I ordered a calamari ring with chips, a seafood stick, and kartoffels. Everything was crispy and not greasy. The calamari was tender and not tough, while the chips were standard. I wish they had a heavier option for dipping. Overall, for about $20, the meal was decent. I also noticed that they are available on Uber Eats, which is convenient.
I am on a trip here to Cairns with my daughter and I was not prepared to pay for overpriced fish and chips by the seaside in the CBD. So I looked at tripadvisor for advice and Mulgrave Seafoods did not disappoint. We walked 16 min from the CBD and it was well worth it for the $9 fish and chips pack. I also got the $13.50 basket with 1 fish, calamari and chips. The owner was also a friendly bloke and there are tables and chairs inside and outside for your meal. Doesn't have to be takeaway.
It’s been a few years and it’s changed owner the place looks the same as ever the staff were friendly and helpful the fish taken from the display and cooked freshly the chips appeared hand cut good size serve we had mackerel and coral trout...with 1 serve of chips and 4 prawn cutlets for 28.00 We will go back, there hamburgers look pretty good too.

We didn't have shrimp tonight, but we tried Mulgrave Seafood for the first time. We ordered package 3 and were pleasantly surprised. The chips tasted like they were straight out of the 70s, the fish was moist and flavorful, the calamari was excellent, and the seafood sticks were delicious. Overall, the meal was fantastic.
We had Flake and chips and the chips and Potato scallops were well cooked and reasonably tasty. The Flake wasn't the best, i'm not sure if it was the cooking or the fish was just not as good as I'm used to> Whichever it was,...it certainly wasn't great. Still edible and as always good value just not great!
We ate there again this week. My wife had a piece of fish and I had the calamari rings along with chips. The calamari was some of the most tender and tasty I have ever eaten. My wife liked her fish and she is very...fussy with fish. The chips were very good. The prices are reasonable.
Tried the tropical burger Without a doubt the best burger i've ever eaten... Fish was cooked perfect and fresh mango... loved it..

Good range of value packs on offer. Good value for money. All food cooked well and tasty. Will return again.
