Cool Indian place in Nyack. We heard a lot about this place so thought to try. The menu is definitely unique. The gobi manchurian was very good and tasted close to authentic. The gobi was well cooked and the sauce was tasty. Smoked lolly poppins was okay. Something like fried chicken in butter chicken sauce, but missed some flavor. The presentation of Pav bhaji was something unique but again missed some flavor. The mumbai dreams curry was very good and spicy and did not disappoint. Ordered the butter chicken Mac cheese and a soda for takeout. $18.51. It was ready just 12 minutes after I called it in. It was served piping hot with fresh chicken and creamy noodles, topped with dill and a few hidden peas inside. The size was a little smaller than I would have liked to see but for a curry Mac cheese it delivered. Any larger would have been too much as it sits a bit heavy. Would have liked to see some acidity or freshness to cut through it. I 'd like to try some naan and maybe samosas next time. Could 've used a napkin and utensils in my takeout bag.Vegetarian options: Menu says it all.Parking: Large parking lot with plenty of spots.
Wow!!! We dined at Mumbai Dreams on a Saturday night and this place was PACKED!!! We didn’t have reservations thus had a wait but got to experience how this place works and why customers rave about it so much. Pretty much everyone that was walking out kept raving about the food, staff and those cocktails. Probably the best cocktails I have ever had. As for the food….while it took some time but we’re told everything was fresh to order and I mean the place didn’t have a single open table so it was understood. That said everything we had was WORTH the wait, the apps, mains, cocktails and the desserts. This is definitely my new favorite Indian restaurant.
The menu features both traditional and fusion Indian dishes, catering to all tastes. Every dish was packed with flavor. The cocktails were delightful! There were so many great choices, but the old-fashioned was definitely the standout and the owner’s personal recommendation.
Speaking of the owner, he came out to chat with us for a while, took our orders, and really made us feel welcome. The service from start to finish was excellent. Among the dishes we tried, the lollipop chicken, chaat, and sandwich were my favorites. The mac and cheese was tasty, but it lacked some crunch—something to give it a bit of texture.
Overall, I can’t wait to go back!

This restaurant truly offers something unique! The creative dishes reflect a modern take on traditional Indian cuisine. I was particularly impressed by how they reimagined classic Indian meals. I tried the Butter Chicken Mac and Cheese Samosas and the Tikka Masala Fried Chicken Sandwich, both of which were incredibly flavorful—some of the best I’ve had in a long time! The service was attentive, and the staff clearly knew their stuff. I loved my experience here, and if you're looking for a fresh twist on Indian favorites, Mumbai Dreams is definitely the place to visit.
I saw reviews that stated food here is halal, but I saw no certification posted anywhere in the restaurant reception area. Staff was helpful, it's not a fast food joint so I suggest ordering ahead for takeout. It's a bit pricey maybe because it's one of its kind in the area. Food was good though. You can customize spice level on most of the menu. It is a bit confusing that there are 3 menus, hope they can consolidate unless it's necessary. Reception area is nicely decorated, instagrammable for sure.
If you give this place a bad review, you didn’t make a reservation or just have bad taste (speaking as a Indian American). This place is the most innovative Indian food I’ve have in so long. No basic meals that you can get anywhere, just straight up innovation. Foods great, bathroom is very clean and parking is plentiful. Service is more than I could ask for and their cocktails taste like they took the time to fine tune everything. Loved this place and looking forward to coming back.
My family and I dined at Mumbai Dreams and had a fantastic experience. We were a large group and were the only customers at the time. The menu offered a wide range of options, all of which are halal. We ordered several dishes, featuring both traditional and fusion cuisine, and nearly everything we tried was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent; they went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be returning!

The food at Mumbai Dreams was absolutely delightful. We tried several dishes from the menu, including lamb tacos, mac and cheese, and chicken tikka samosas, among others. I enjoyed every single item we ordered. However, I would suggest increasing the spice level next time; we opted for a "medium" spice level, but I could have handled more, especially since I'm accustomed to eating spicy food. The staff were very polite and attentive. I will definitely be returning!
