Stopped sat this chippy whilst in Lundin Links. Fish and chips and a single smoked. Sausage. A fish the size of a whale it took two to get it in the box.Cooked to perfection in delicious crispy batter. and delicious chips. My side salad of the smoke sausage was a delicious accompaniment washed down with a 2021 claret of Diet Coke. Nice friendly man and girl on front of house duties and the sauce sommeliers recommendation of brown sauce to compliment the meal was just divine.Our table for two, namely the front of the VW Beetle overlooking the golf course provided the perfect Vista. you are passing and see this mobile culinary delight, hit the brakes you won’t be disappointed.
My favourite fish suppers and they come to me. You don’t expect quality from one of these vans, however, this one is an exception. Great fish and chips every time. As they are cooked fresh you might have to wait a moment of two, however, all part of the experience as you meet folks from the village you have not seen in a while. I can highly recommend.
All orders freshly made, so no soggy batter to worry about. Also, it was a nice evening, so no problem waiting in the queue, exposed to the weather. However, slightly funny, chemical smell from the fish and chips and a slightly strange taste.
Have uses this a couple of times in Elie and St. Monans . Nothing special and as the orders are made for you at the time you have to wait , in my case in the rain, for some time. If they fitted an awning to the van it would help. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The chip van is in certain East Neuk towns on designated days. Details can be found on Facebook. Fish is fresh, haggis balls yummy and chips are amazing for being cooked in a van. My kids love this easy supper.
This van appears all over East Neuk on different days. I have always wanted to like it but the batter is too greasy and the fish is thin. It is quick and easy take away food. But not for me.
As the title says, no need to travel to the next village when I can get wonderful fish and chips which stops right in my door step. Always a friendly service with a smile!

Great fish and chips. Really tasty and not greasy. Really busy so get down early when in town. We always pop along when we’re in Elie.
