This was my second outing at Mykonos and while the food was fine, the service was sub-par. First off, the nature of our visit was to celebrate a colleague's impending retirement. The atmosphere of the restaurant was fine and friendly and the two servers for the most part were pleasant and attentive. The issue began when the male server opened/spilled a bottle of beer on one of my co-workers and rather than be devastated and embarrassed by this mistake, he just stood there apologizing and smirking. Perhaps it was his nervous reaction to this mistake (I am not an expert in human emotions) but the smirking was very much inappropriate. Evening dinner out w friends to celebrate a birthday. My second time here.Nice, bright atmosphere- loved the Nana Mouskouri music. Extensive menu - something for everyone. Reasonable pricing. Limited wine selection by the glass. Very helpful and attentive waitress. The owner was there and came to say hello to my friends, who she knew. We don't go out often but considered Mykonos a good "go to " place. It was my birthday so we headed over on a Thursday night. Halibut was dry. The pork souvlaki was dry. I would never have thought those two dishes would be improperly served. The waiter was informed at the end of the meal.....no contact during the meal... And no response other than an apology. And the cashier was informed when we went to pay and she asked. She indicated another dish could have been prepared. Frankly we didn't have the time to wait for another dish to be prepared. It should have been done right in the first place. She offered a token dessert which was declined...kind of an insult because we didn't go there for...
We went there for dinner to try something new. My partner ordered the halibut steak and the fish was so dried out. I ordered the chicken souvlaki and the chicken was really dried out. I was not impressed with my meal and I know my partner was not impressed with their dinner. The waitress was really nice and friendly and made the environment very nice. We went to Mykonos last evening for an adult family meal. Our group had a range of dishes from rainbow trout, chicken stir fry, fish and chips to chicken shawarma. All received rave reviews. All the food was hot and nicely presented. We had a bottle of Greek white wine and it was very tasty. We have always enjoyed Mykonos and recommend it to anyone for a casual meal.
Have been to Mykonos many times over the years, but it's never become one of our regular favourites. There's always some issue-- no calamari available, slow service, quail were overcooked.... Most of the time, the food is very good, but the service is often so inconsistent that it takes the shine off your dining experience. Prices are on the high side, too.
Friendly server, very slow. Brown lettuce, overripe tomatoes, small portions, 10 pieces of calamari on "platter" for $11.00-rip off, fish and chips all batter,frozen french fries, change your cooking oil, no value for the money. Will never go back!
The service is so friendly here. They welcome you as though you are friends. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are large. The enclosed patio seating is nice but in the winter we prefer to eat in the main part of the restaurant. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
When you enter the doors you feel welcomed and special - Heidi always greats you with a smile and a hug - wow - she knows what hospitality means - great food - our favorite go to place
