All I have to say is WOW!! The food was SO DELICIOUS! We orders a chicken strip/fries basket, meatball sub on garlic bread w/Mozzarella cheese, meatball sub w/ Mozzarella cheese, hot peppers, green peppers, tomatoes, and lettuce, Jalepino poppers, and fries mushrooms.Everything is cook to order. They have Pepsi products, iced tea, pink lemonade, shakes, malts, sundaes, and ice cream cones.The workers were kind and patient with us as we asked questions on their extensive menu. (All great choices! It was so hard to decide which items to try!)The parking lot is smaller, but an RV can pull in, park, and pull out as there are 2 enterences/exits.
I went to Nabby's today at 12:12, just past breakfast time. I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions and fries. Unfortunately, my burger was cold and seemed precooked. When I mentioned it to the guy who brought my order, he said, "Wow, that was fast." He then added, "Well, we knew you were coming." The only warm part of the burger was the grilled onions, which had melted the cheese slightly. Disappointed, I threw the burger away and left. As I walked out, the guy yelled, "Hope you enjoyed your meal." It felt like some kind of prank.
Unfortunately, we just didn't enjoy our 2 trips to Nabbys. This place has been a staple in Plainfield for years. My first go around was their steak sandwich. The steak doesn't have any flavor to make it stand out. Fries were very good. Second go, I tried the shrimp dinner. The shrimp were very tiny v the breading and were very overcooked. Very unspectacular offering. The gyros sandwich was really good the first time but not so much the second. I don't know if we'll get back for a 3rd visit.
Nabbys has been in Plainfield for at least 40 years by my estimation ...they've expanded their menu tremendously ...everything is cooked to order ...from HUGE shrimp to Italian beefs , char dogs , burgers ,pizza puffs, shakes , fries ,poppers ...you nameit ! and it's all delicious

First time visit-2/4/2022. Was in a hurry, had a big order on the fly. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, informative, and prompt. The food was also great. I was very impressed with the staff that evening, they deserve a shout out!
it's a dump. the Italian beef is fake, its Arby's meat. it must be new owners. sevice sucks. they should sell this place to a real biz person. second time I tried this place in 30 days, both experiences are one star worthy.
I can't say enough about this place. I've been going here since I was a kid, and they've had the same cook there for as long as I can remember. You'd be doing yourself a disservice not to eat there.
The staff is really friendly and professional. The food is super delicious and fresh, much better than Burger King and McDonald's. I highly recommend it!
