We visited this restaurant on a previous trip to Whistler and were enchanted with the scallop carpaccio nd so excited to have an opportunity to visit Nagomi during this trip and enjoy this dish once again in addition to others. We ordered tuna tataki and the scallop carpaccio in addition to two cones suggested by our server as a beginning to our meal.The tuna tataki was the first dish and it was disappointing. unimaginatively plated, an oil soaked clump of mixed greens unceremoniously placed atop slices of tuna sauced with a too heavy hand. Next were the two cones ... spicy scallop and tuna . These too were a disappointment - overcooked rice with a few shredded pieces of relatively tasteless...
We ordered 5 rolls and 2 salads (seaweed and gomae). The sushi was fresh and prepared quickly. I would say it's reasonably priced (the sashimi is way over priced in my opinion). The seaweed salad and gomae were good but I would say they were bland compared to other sushi places. I wouldn't order those again. And $5-$7 for a tiny serving of bland salad is not worth it. The rolls were good but we ordered the Scallop Chop roll and asked for it not to be spicy so they put cucumber and a piece of scallop in the roll and nothing else. So that was bland as well. We would order from them again because of the freshness of the sushi and the other rolls were very good but we would be a bit more proacti...
We had some sushi that we don't normally have a chance to have leaving in Palm Desert. We ordered both sockeye and king salmon which were both outstanding. We also had toro from both albacore and blue fin tuna which again is not an everyday sushi item. Everything was very fresh, the server was knowledgable, freiemdly and very attentive. Highly recommend for a casual dining experience.
We really enjoyed our sushi at Nagomi. We sat at the counter and service was superb. Ordered a few different items from the daily specials menu which were some of the best sushi dishes we have had (including the seaweed salad). Would definitely visit again. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We really enjoyed our sushi here. Especially enjoyed sushi with king crab. Had a nice flight of sake to add to the dinner. A bit surprising that they didn't have any dinner boxes, but we were very happy with everything. We'd definitely come back.
Great sushi. Very fresh. Had the grilled black cod. Outstanding and the black diamond chef choice. Excellent choice including blue fin toro mackerel scallops ... great food and service.
The main menu has options labeled as vegetarian, however the separate vegetarian menu states that they contain fish sauce. Fish is an animal...
